Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Remember that Common Man played a similar game where people guessed when Brad Radke would give up his first home run of the night. We could do the same thing for Baker or Blackburn.

The best part was when Common called it exactly; batter, time, and men on base.

Either way, I'll take the Franchise to get 19 outs tonight. He will get pulled after allowing back to back hits, the first a single and the second a double.

free trial of MLB Extra Innings available for at least a couple days. It's nice to watch the Twins scooby complains about, instead of just reading about them.

90 pitches through 7 innings - no way will he throw the CG that JF had in his guess.

MNS will probably be the closest.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

If they score again he might, if it is a save situation the Tattooed Menace will get the call.

Even with the GIDP, I don't see him pitching the 9th.

... strikeout on a wild pitch. Now that's just bad.

7 2/3 innings... although technically he got 24 outs. :p

I am not going to lie, I dont like this at all. Guerrier hasnt pitched well in forever.

Phew...got out of it.

edit: 4 Chicago errors...yuck!

13 runs in two games without Morneau.

Yes, it's a small sample size, but it's evidence this team can produce without him.

Please dont start the "trade Justin" BS again if that is where you are going with that comment.

Assuming they win they are 1-1 in those two games, that is the only stat that matters. I still can't believe they lost a game when the winning pitcher (a starter!) had a 9 ERA in the game...that is astounding!

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

If the stat I heard is right, its from Lavelle so I assume it is, the Twins coming into tonight were 1-7 in games Morneau didn't play.

He will stick around for a while.

Will one person in this bullpen please...PLEASE not suck! I know it is a lot to ask, but try! ;)

Signed,

Every Twins Fan

A 4 pitch walk with the bases loaded...I think the Tattoo experiment is almost done.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

So let me get this straight. Rauch comes in, nearly blows it so the go to the Crainwreck and he gets a save? What kind of bizzaro alternate dimension is this?

W-L is meaningless and says nothing about how they won or lost the games in which he did not play. In the case of last night, they scored a lot of runs and lost due to horrible starting pitching - which only strengthens the case for making a trade.

I strongly doubt that the team will move him given his popularity and production - but the team should certainly be willing to give up some offense for pitching as that is clearly the team's weakest area. You simply can't be successful with three starting pitchers carrying high ERA's and having a penchant for short outings that destroy the bullpen (the overuse of Guerrier is a likely cause of his falling off a cliff lately).

Lastly - dare I say it - did Jesse Crain make a case for becoming the new closer tonight? :eek:

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

I'm not ready to drop Rauch after one bad game. He hasn't had much chance to pitch lately, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
