Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

I hope something happens to wake this team the **** up, and soon. Call up pitching from Rochester, switch up the order (Delmon higher and Cuddy lower, maybe obviously), something...

The starter for Game 1 of the ALDS last year is in the bullpen and hasn't started a game this year. What did he do to **** off Gardy? He can't handle a real division. The rotation needed to be changed a couple weeks ago. 4.5 back now...

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Does anyone actually expect changes to be made though? That's what is so frustrating about this mess since who knows when.

:mad:

When a possible big trade can maybe be made, everyone questions the talent (or possible talent) we could be giving up.

When we do make a move, it's second-guessed until God knows when.

Yes, this also happens elsewhere, and the Twins are known for "almost" doing (insert trade/making a sorta good trade/etc etc etc), but still.

I remember the questioning of getting Super Pavio, and now he's been our most consistent (and decent) starter? That's kinda sad.

That's a great question. Probably not for at least 5-6 more losses, and that is highly optimistic. What I expect is one of Blackburn/Baker will pull it together for a game, which will delay the inevitable even more; which in turn, will lead to 5-6 more losses. It's an endless cycle, really :mad: :(

You know those snipers that picked off those Somali pirates last year? Can we get them to talk to Billy about knowing when to fire? That would be great.

This is a great idea; I'm behind this 100%. EDIT: Starting Duensing ASAP, that is.

Why not? Who's better now? Duensing did give up 5 runs in 4 2/3 innings in game one against CC Sabathia in Game 1 in Yankee Stadium, but it was 5-2 when he left. 7-2 was the final after Liriano gave up a pair. I think he ****ed off Gardy and Gardy does this to people that **** him off.

ESPN has the Twins starter on Monday listed as, "Undecided."

We're going to play a new game. Everyone has to guess how many outs the Twins starter will get in the next game. Tomorrow's contestant is Francisco Liriano...my guess is 11.

Gardy strikes me as one to not only "play favorites" but also spite those that have crossed him. Of course, I don't know him, but from 25,000 feet, it passes the smell test, IMHO. Exhibit A: Nick Punto*

****, as far as I'm concerned, starting Jesse Crain at this point "couldn't hurt."

*For the record, I like Nicky: he hustles and makes some ridiculous plays in the field. However, how he is an everyday STARTER is beyond my comprehension. I could argue he should play every day, but only when the situation calls for it.

I think we might be able to have a lot of fun with this game. Or, it will depress us further as our low numbers become reality :o :(

I think Frankie will get through the 5th at least; probably the 6th. He better be well rested and the bullpen just got *****ed. So, even if he gives up a bunch early, as long as he gets out of it he muscles on.

I'm in for 19.

I can guess the total outs with an answer of 16, Tom.

Remember that Common Man played a similar game where people guessed when Brad Radke would give up his first home run of the night. We could do the same thing for Baker or Blackburn.

With a nickname of "Moon Shot" Scott, I think a better game would be pairing their starts, and who gives up a home run first.....

About a month ago, the Twins led the White Sox by 8, now they lead the Twins by 4.5.

Duensing was not at the park tonight as Gardy says he was sick.

I'm optimistic and will say 18.

For those who think the lineup is punchless without Morneau: they scored 7 against Chicago without him tonight. :p

The difference - other than horrible pitching by Slowey/Burnett - was the failure to advance the leadoff double late in the game. RISP bites the team in the *** again.
