Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600
So Pavano is done. But I doubt the bullpen is even moving.

This inning is not going well.
Tied with the Yankees, 0.5 games back of the Rays.
Morneau out for a while with concussion issues? No problem. Joe Nathan? Who needs him? This team just amazes me something fierce.
No rest until we get home field. Playing at Target Field could be huge in the postseason.guys step up when asked to. It's amazing.
Now, storm the Central, celebrate, and rest.
I don't think Pavario is going to throw a perfecto...You can't steal bases if you don't have base runners.
He could just give up solo-HR each time he decides to give up a hit.I don't think Pavario is going to throw a perfecto...
I just think it is something the coaches need to keep an eye on. If things don't go right, the Rays will eat him alive and they'll have that much less of a chance to get out of jams. Hopefully it doesn't end up being a big deal.He could just give up solo-HR each time he decides to give up a hit.
Or a hit and have the guy get caught trying to stretch it an extra base.
In all seriousness, base runners mean nothing if you do your job with the guy at the plate. You just need to avoid clogging up the bases when there is 0-1 outs. That's when stealing bases becomes most effective.

The Sox should have BURIED Joe Mauer - I mean season ending injury buried Mauer - after the Twins pitcher threw at Konerko's head. With the season over anyway, maybe Ozzie could have made a statement about not letting other teams physically intimidate the Sox. But the message that went out is that teams can fire at the Sox' best player and not worry about retribution.
I thought it was the Royals 1st base coach?Well, you're talking about a fan base that produced two trailer-trash meth-heads that jumped out of the stands and attacked an umpire. Expecting class out of White Sox fans is like expecting Stevie Wonder to "look out".
