Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Love it:

man, Twins ****ing own us, ****ing own us

and the scary thing is people---they only stand to get better. new park, tons of money coming in, as always they have solid looking young players.......they will always be hampered by the size of the market they play in yes....but is there any doubt the Twins roster will likely be better (on paper at least) than this year?

how do the sox respond to this? do they look at what i am assuming is a down year for rev, crawl into shell and lower payroll? send out a solid rotation to front a team full of ? and "what if's"???

they cant possibly think the "lightening in a bottle" approach can consistently work in this division anymore, can they????

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Question: Is Duensing the Twins best starter? Should he start game 1?

Personally, I think it depends on if its home or away. If they're home, go with Duensing and Pavario at home and have the Franchise go up against the Rays/Yankees in game 3 on the road. Which would also set up Liriano to start game 1 of the ALCS, if they win the first series.

On the road, hit 'em with Liriano right off the bat, and hope he's got his nasty stuff and try to steal one.

Game 1 is likely going to be at home, so I don't know who you would want to start. Probably set it up with Liriano/Pavano leading the rotation, but those are also the two I would probably like to see start a road game as well.

I'm not going to worry about it though, I want to sit back and watch the White Sox season go up in smoke.

Duensing's numbers as a starter at home are pretty impressive for whatever reason. If he keeps pitching like he has since his recall, Blackburn and ground balls might be our best bet in Yankee Stadium with the Little-League-length fence in right. But there'll be time to discuss this in a couple weeks if need be. Tonight, I'm thinking only about the WSox.

We we all agree that Moonshot doesn't get to touch the mound at Yankee Stadium...ok, carry on. :p

No! Save that ticker tape for the celebration of the Gopher NCAA football national championship.

Does he even still have a right arm? I never hear him mentioned anymore.

Few things are as satisfying as watching Jim Thome drive the dagger further into the white sox season...

THen have that followed up by more run production. Awesome.
