I like to hear Helgy say that the Gophers need to play two COMPLETE games, but I'd like to see that translate to the ice now!!

The Gophers are the second ranked team in the nation and we are complaining about not seeing them put to good games together. Awesome, the Gopher program is officially back in action!!!

They'll be headhunting Rau, just not for last year. Rau will run his mouth and Mayfield won't be able to restrain himself and take several stupid penalties.

Thanks for the responses to where to pre/post game. We'll definitely try making it to a few of those.

Let me know if anyone needs 2 standing room tickets to Friday and/or Saturday. I'll sell them for $5 below cost each and we can meet at the arena or something. I ended up being able to get tickets though DU and don't need these anymore. Is scalping outside the arena legal? I just checked and you can still buy standing room tickets online through the Gopher website. Doesn't sound too good for my scalping prospects. Does the standing room ever sell out?

It is legal and SRO rarely sells out. Last series with UND for instance. There will be scalpers who may give you $5 for each ticket. Hold out for an individual buyer if you can. Stub and Herb's bartenders used to help out bey telling folks looking which folks in the bar were selling. Don't know if they still do that since it's now legal to just stand on the corner holding the tickets up.

A pipe dream..... Especially when the Libtards are in control of the Gubment. They get on their knees every time the great and almighty U Board of Regents wants or does not want something. And, without their support it is a on starter. Even though Beer and Alchohol sales would theoretically help ween the U off of the State ***.

Pivotal series for both teams with 6 points separating the top 7 WCHA teams, all clawing for playoff spots with 4 games left. DU comes into Mariucci very hungry for points to secure home ice, and the Gophers are still within reach of the Mac and the top playoff spot. Last weekend against UMD, the top lines were hot on Friday and not existent on Sat. The Gophers will need all of their top guns to step up and put up numbers in both games, if they want more than a split this weekend to stay in the hunt. But if DU continues their trend of piling up penalty minutes, the Gopher PP may prove to be the difference maker this weekend.

Adam Wilcox is having a phenomenal rookie of the year season and he'll need one of his best performances to beat DU's high scoring offense (#4 offense in the nation). The Gophers haven't performed consistently well against DU in recent seasons, and haven't swept them since the 2005-06 season. The Gophers will need their absolute best effort this weekend to break out the brooms.

Go Gophers! :)
