I don't see East getting a top four seed, and I guarentee those top seeds are praying they don't have to topple the hounds next Thursday. Same thing may be said for Rochester Lourdes out of 1A.

Yes, I did make it to TC last Wednesday and yes Tonka looks good. But I said this earlier in the year that while Edina lacks the marquee names this year, I predicted they would still make it out of 2AA and with their coaching should not be over-looked in St. Paul.

btw - what's behind Girard taking over for Ankeny in net?

I am not sure, I was wondering too. It happened several games ago. Wish I had thought to ask last night - I was talking to a guy ('nother dad on my kid's team) who played with Terwilliger and knows all the ins and outs of the varsity team. Ankeny did have a rep as a bit of a head case when he transferred back to Edina.

I suspect the bad ice at Target played to Edina's advantage as they don't have the speed they've had in the past. Jefferson's big guns might have been more effective on Mariucci.

Reusse mentioned this morning that Strib HS beat writer John Millea is leaving to go work for the MSHSL. That really sucks, loved reading his stuff. :(

Another interesting thought on Edina: They likely feel they have something to prove after laying an egg in the state tournament last year at the x..or should I say, "hornets' nest"

East only has to beat Hill and then Minnetonka to play for a state title. Yipee! Easy road! :rolleyes: :D

Now the question is whether to DVR the day games Thursday, and watch them while I'm DVR-ing the night games. It's impossible to watch the night games without them spoiling the results of the day games. Conundrums.

EDIT: Mav, I think your Class A semi finals bracket is incorrect. Breck wouldn't play Mahtomedi until the finals, they are in seperate brackets. Same with Hermantown and Lourdes.

I think I agree with all except you finals where I think both will be reversed. I wish the Hornets could pull off the upset again, but I don't think they have the horses.:(

Is anyone aware of a way to watch the games if you don't live in Minnesota? I moved to North Carolina about two years ago, and I miss watching the State Tournament. Wasn't sure if the games were available online anywhere.

Find somebody with a slingbox in MN. It doesn't look like it'll be streamed anywhere. Sorry. After the fact, it looks like KSTC 45 is going to sell DVDs of the tourney.

according to the MSHSL web page, Channel 45 is live streaming all the games from the X.
