Minnesota High School Hockey 09-10: Pack your bags, we're going to St. Paul!

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey 09-10: Pack your bags, we're going to St. Paul!

You're nuts on according to rinkfinder - 1800 for the big rink at BIG.

I like the fairgrounds too, can be really fun. The CDH-Woodbury OT game a few years ago had an awesome atmosphere.

Braemar holds 3600. They may need it all this afternoon. Three of the top teams in state playing for one slot to State. They were prepping the place at 7 this morning.

So EP-Tonka and Edina-Jefferson at Target?

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey 09-10: Pack your bags, we're going to St. Paul!

I just looked into buying tickets for the 2AA/6AA games, ticketraper is asking for almost as much in fees as the tickets cost, and I don't want to pay those schmucks. Will tickets be available at the high schools? Last year we drove to Edina High School to buy tickets at lunchtime, hopefully that works again.

Who is going to the 6AA and 2AA championships on Wednesday? I'm planning on going, and hoping that there are some others out there that are interested. I still haven't figured out tickets, will probably drive to Edina during lunch to buy them, if I can figure out when they're going to be selling them.

Maybe. I need to check on some other things and there's a chance the kid will be in a playoff game that night (it looks he'll play Tuesday, but could be Wednesday).

It's definitely going to be an epic week of high school hockey for the State once again this year! Good Luck to everyone as they try and fulfill their dreams of playing at the X.

I wish FSN would pick up the games at target center...

bigblue, there's some possible interest from me to drive up and watch these ones..

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey 09-10: Pack your bags, we're going to St. Paul!

I called the Edina high school this afternoon and was told that they don't have tickets for the 2AA/6AA games at Target Center. That I would have to purchase them through the Target Center.

Has anybody firgured out a way to purchase tickets ahead of time to avoid what is going to be a really long line at Target Center on wednesday other then to purchase then through ticketmaster?

Ticketmaster is selling tickets but with their fees you end up paying about twice as much.

All tickets are GA and are $7.75 per ticket. Ticket master charges the following fees:

Facility charge: $2.25 per ticket
Convenience charge: $2.25 per ticket
Additional taxes: $0.18 per ticket
To print your own tickets: $2.50 per order

It probably still makes more sense to pay the fees then stand in what is going to be a really long line on wednesday but it would be nice to avoid all these ticketmaster fees if possible hence my question above.

I was hoping to purchase tickets from one of the participating high schools but if Edina doesn't have tickets I'm guessing the others don't either.

Go to Target early, like lunch time tomorrow? I assume their ticket window will be open.

I will probably just buy online then. You could probably go to the target center now and buy them, but it wouldn't be worth it to go downtown and deal with the parking hassle just to get tickets. Are you going to the games? I'll be there if you want to meet up.

There is no way to know if the lines at Target Center will be as bad as they were at Mariucci, but note that TC's lobby is larger and my guess is a lesson was learned about having sufficient ticket windows available.

I have decided to go to Target box office today or tomorrow at lunch (i work downtown-though not as close to Target as JF does). I could be persuaded to buy more tickets.;)

ETA: The games will be streamed on myfoxhockey too.

If you don't mind picking up extras, that would be great! We can meet up before the game and settle up. I would just need one ticket, and I would guess that CHA wants one too, if he ends up not needing one I'll be able find someone else, so I'll just take 2 instead of one. Let me know if there is any problem with this, I will just buy them on ticketmaster tonight if you can't get tickets. Thank You!!! :)

OK, two for bbdl and two for another of my youth hockey buddies. Waiting to hear back from a couple of other friends. Planning a lunch time run today. Otherwise I'll hit it and end of day. I'll let you know if it falls through for some reason.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey 09-10: Pack your bags, we're going to St. Paul!

Granted this involves a line, but why not go the will call route?
I was wondering the same thing....the only reason why I can think it would be better to have them emailed/print yourself is for ticket brokers. Since emailed tickets would be much easier to get to the person who buys them from you.

edit: thanks goldy!
