Was on a fishing trip this past week. Glad I didn't miss any actual hockey discussion. Vikings should be good this year.
We've been going to the same lake(s) up near Ely for 11 years, and this year's fishing ranks as one of poorest we've had. But the sunny-warm-calm weather was probably the best we've ever had, and the early spawn/ice-out was one of the earliest ever, so that pretty much explains why the walleye's were hard to locate and get to bite. Still fun though! How was fishing? I went Friday and yesterday. One good trip, one poor.
And many of us already have problems with tenants' voices.

Gophers hockey coach Don Lucia glad to have AD who 'actually knows where Mariucci is'

Entering contract extension negotiations, the last paragraph bodes well for Don:
“I want to sit down with Don and find out where our program’s at, what’s changed,” Coyle said. “When I was here, they were going back-to-back national championships. And now with the Big Ten, and some of those things, I just want to get a feel from Don, what’s going on with his program. And what can I do to help Don and his program achieve at a high level.”
Agreed. Just a question of how long of an extension he's given. Also now with Goetz leaving, Coyle has more instability to deal with, and this could help Lucia. If you think about it, not too surprising. He was here during the period when Don was the guy. Also ADs typically like stability, and our other top coaches (Claeys, Pitino)have yet to prove themselves.
I think he got jobbed on the Conn Smythe.Gophers players on the Stanley Cup
