The only thing that stings are the reports that the Wild were concerned about his development at Minnesota. This is now officially a trend, and I don't like it one bit.
The Wild, I am also told, was very concerned about Leddy's development at the U.
"Come to Tech! The Wild LOVE John Scott!!!!!"Ouch! Guess that's good for other WCHA schools and their recruiting efforts.![]()

Which is funny considering he is a freshman right out of high school and missed 6 weeks due to a broken jaw.![]()
That doesn't really mean they can not be concerned.
True. Just think it's premature.
Lou Nanne on the radio confirmed the Wild's concern about the development of Leddy. This is not good news.
Isn't that why the Islanders signed Okposo mid season?
That doesn't really mean they can not be concerned.
It also doesn't mean they need to be. This imho is a mole hill and not a mountain.
I am just starting to wonder how many times officials of NHL teams can say things like this before it hurts recruiting.
Leddy traded by the Wild today and Russo has posted that the Wild were concerned with his development at Minnesota.
Double whammy. Leddy probably isn't going to be around much longer anymore (that's the speculation on GPL), and the Wild have already given up on their number one pick and it's the hometown kid that everyone wanted to see them take and have it work out.
Star Tribune said:"It's just the general situation there," Thompson said of the struggling Gophers. "They've had a poor year with their team, and the whole team. Every guy on that team just looks, there doesn't look like there's a passion to them.
"It's nothing particular against Nick. He was one of their best guys, maybe their best guy the night I saw him in St. Cloud. But it seems collectively, it was a disappointment to watch them."
I hope Dean didn't buy his house in Nebraska-Omaha . . .![]()
This is really interesting. . .![]()
If I was Don I would be so livid right about now. I think he should defend himself a little bit and break the code of silence.
There are a lot of former Gophers playing in the NHL right now that played for Don. The man has two national Championships for crying out loud.
