Minnesota Cup

Re: Minnesota Cup

Hmmmmm, something is wrong with this statement, I can't quite put my finger on it though.

YOu can disagree, but I'm guessing I probably have a larger number of contacts (at MSU). I'm judging by what I hear from people's mouths, not what I see on the interwebs.

Re: Minnesota Cup

Correction....a very vocal majority have their panties in a bunch. The vast majority of people that I've spoken with support this kind of arrangement.

Maybe its because you said majority twice...I'm just taking a guess here. You probably meant a very vocal MINORITY have their panties in a bunch and Dirty was making fun of your mistake...but hey, go ahead and act like you know what you're talking about.

Oops, I'm an idiot. Yes that's what I meant.

Re: Minnesota Cup

Of course its a minority that are complaining... its a minority that will bother to piece together how this works. They don't look at or think about $ exchanging hands and whose pockets it ends up in. I can say this tournament will have about a 98% approval rating of MN, SCSU, BSU, UMD and MSU-M fans that don't read college hockey boards. I just hope they also vote by putting their asses in seats.

Re: Minnesota Cup

Who are bigger rivals to Minny than UMD and SCSU? And don't even bother saying Michigan and Michigan State. I'm not drinking that Kool-Aid.

Shows how little you know about the history between the Gophers and Michigan.

Re: Minnesota Cup

Don't have to. No AD at Minnesota has ever ignored hockey. No AD at Minnesota would ever be allowed to ignore hockey. There really isn't anything more to discuss.

You have to remember who you are responding to. His track record on predictions (particularly on the "super conference") has been pretty laughable

Given President Kaler has gone out of his way to mention hockey as an important piece of the puzzle, it is one program we won't have to worry about lacking attention or support.

I figured as much. His statements were good for some laughs on Twitter. Thanks Hammy.

Re: Minnesota Cup

Yes, very good. Hence why I said I was missing his point.

And yes, you're right we wouldn't have this if the BTHC hadn't started. But it did start and evidently Minnesota's reaction to it is to not play former conference mates. That isn't the BTHC's fault, it's Minnesota's. Stop blaming the BTHC for everything.

Yes, and evidently UND's reaction to the BTHC was the same. They no longer want to play their conference mates.

Here we go again with "laughable." See my previous post. And DG called the formation of the NCHC well in advance of its announcement. Hardly "laughable."

C'mon, who here has NOT laughed at Dude Love and his posts? So why is he not "laughable?" Just because you don't like the term doesn't mean it's not appropriate in its use.

He called a lot of other things along with it that never came close to happening.

Why would I care if you don't like the terms I use?
