A few things...
• Before seeing the video, I assumed that we would have another thread of trying to explain boarding to Sioux fans, which can be as exhausting as trying to convince them that water is wet. But if that's boarding, it's the most borderline boarding penalty in the history of hockey.
It wasn't really even a matter of having his head down. He was screened by the ref and had his stance open at just the wrong time. Look at his feet. Any other foot positioning and he doesn't even fall down from that hit.
He wasn't very far from the boards and the Sioux player didn't charge. That can't be a penalty, or at worse, it's a minor and at that, a questionable call. Did someone say he should be suspended? C'mon.
• I was also excited to see the "brawl" that I heard about during our game. That wasn't even a decent slap fight. Bunch of pansies.
• I watched the third and it looked like a very entertaining game. When I see this I realize that you two are each other's biggest rivals, which makes me a little sad, although I know you still hate us too. But your teams want to really get after each other and do bad things to each other. I haven't seen that in our respective rivalries with you in many years.
Very fun to watch as an impartial. Seriously, I honestly wish both teams could lose. Any chance of heavy snow causing the Ralph to collapse around 8pm tonight?

Unless the helmets come off there's no point in punching a players face protector. I saw a couple strong RNCs being applied and locked. I'll take that over a couple punches with face protectors and a jersey pull any day if you want to put someone to sleep in about 6 seconds.

Well, in '06 and '08 they obviously forgot their alarm clocks. In '07 it was tied up with about 3ish minutes left before BC was able to take control on the PP.
I'm hopeful that tonight's game has the same or better atmosphere and intensity, but with a different result.

I thought even-up made more sense. But, I don't care because the Gophers got the W. Don't give a hell about the Wehrs hit. I suppose it fits the boarding bill, but meh. I think they were more irritated that a hit like that was thrown as the clock went to zero and it was obvious that nothing of any importance was going to happen.
