Minnesota at North Dakota - Get Your Riot Gear

Re: Minnesota at North Dakota - Get Your Riot Gear

Don't forget that in 2015 you'll still be losing to the likes of Union and RIT. The Gophers are already a botttom dweller of the Big Ten in so many sports, may as well add hockey to the ever growing list.

Re: Minnesota at North Dakota - Get Your Riot Gear

Pretty sad that the Gophers need a rocket scientist like Bronzebacks to defend them here. On the plus side, he finally seems to be devloping a peronality. That's a plus.

Oh, thanks Dirty. I am glad you appreciate my "peronality" development. How's this for rocket science...when the word has a red squiggly line underneath it, it means you spelled it wrong. Pretty advanced stuff. It's OK, your consistent with the UND alum I have encountered.

Well, that is the plan.

Although you need to clarify. In non-revenue sports Minnesota is more than competitive in the Big 10 and the NCAA.

I would love to see anyone come after Frattin. At least that would add some excitement to the game.

I don't post often, but this Minnesota fascination with a BTHC just amazes me. With the exception of once in a blue moon, how long has it been since the BT was a consistent force in any sport? I've wanted the BT to do well for the last 40 years, but alas, this has not been the case. Was it the BT that lost 5 bowl games on the same day just a couple of weeks ago? So now the BT wants to ruin hockey too, eh? Go right ahead...

You're funny.

FYI. Minnesota fans and the Minnesota AD are mostly opposed to a BT hockey conference. Wisconsin is the one school that wants it the most. But, you go thinking we're fascinated with it. After all, that's really what's going on here.

Have fun recruiting FlickerTail hockey players to UND when the WCHA is watered down and your top rival is Mankato State....can't wait! :D

The WCHA will hardly be watered down when Miami and Notre Dame join after UMN and UW depart. :)

It's hilarious when people make spelling/grammatical mistakes in a post making fun of other people's spelling errors.
Nice work, man.

I should hope so, cause it would probably be a fairly mediocre conference.

Most importantly, what terriblly named division would the gophers be placed in?

I can't wait for that first Sioux player to go hard to the net crashing into Patterson (accidentally of course ) and then watch all the gophers dive into the net to rescue their one and only precious goalie.

Lucia should rest Patterson (why risk injury) and start the new guy, to see what he is made of.

It's the only time you'll see the gophers play with any passion

More like run the goalie because that's what Hakstool teaches his players. The Sue will be looking to turn the game into a hackfest, the Gophers need to score early and often on the PP to make the goon squad pay.

The goon squad that is in the bottom half of the WCHA in penalty minutes? The one that averages roughly the same amount of penalty minutes as the Gophers women's team? I'd hate to know what you think of the play of the other 2/3 of the WCHA that has more penalty minutes.

I wouldn't get my hopes up on that Gopher powerplay either. They are ranked 10th...in the WCHA on the powerplay. Add to that the league's second worst PK (worst by Goals Against and Net) and if this game is decided by special teams it won't be pretty for the Maroon and Gold.

You should really do some research before you post crap like this. The Sioux play physical hard nosed hockey unlike the finesse prima tDonnas of the goofers. I believe the Sioux are in the middle of the pack as far as penalty minutes go.
