Re: MICHIGAN TECH OFFSEASON THREAD II: The Winning has started

Nothing new. You're one of two wishy-washy sounding sources collectively known as "word out of the Goodwill store"

wishy-washy?:D from Levi to an uncle to a cousin to me...come on it doesn't get anymore solid than that!:p

Re: MICHIGAN TECH OFFSEASON THREAD II: The Winning has started

Word is that there's still a chance of him earning a scholarship to MTU. I certainly wouldn't be against it, I know a lot of his family quite well and always support giving the local boys a shot. I hear he's been bulking up and has potential to be "the next Chris Conner". Joel L'Esperance reportedly (third hand rumor) is willing to sign up too, and I think he has multiple offers.
None of this is paint store quality information. Maybe the Goodwill store.

So you're saying that with Pearson now here, there is the possibility he'd nix his verbal to NMU if a scholie was available for him at MTU?

Re: MICHIGAN TECH OFFSEASON THREAD II: The Winning has started

I never said how likely it is. Just passing along what one of his cousins told me. And that was he had told an uncle and this cousin that he still might end up at Tech.

Re: MICHIGAN TECH OFFSEASON THREAD II: The Winning has started

There are only two things known for sure: a 15 year old's verbal doesn't mean squat, and Pearson makes Tech a far more attractive place to play.

No rumors from the paint store today?

None from the paint store, but I heard that Frank Wilson is interested in knowing the exact details of all 21 goals Mel scored during his playing days at Tech. In particular, he needs to know who had the assists, who else was on the ice, which opponents were on the ice, what sort of tie John MacInnes was wearing that evening, and what Mel had for breakfast, lunch, and his pre-game meal that day. ;)

Posted on the Tech Hockey Guide twitter account yesterday, he played his college hockey at Michigan:

TechHockeyGuide: Rumor is that Bill Muckalt is in the running for a assistant coaching slot. He's currently the head coach of the NAHL's New Mexico Mustangs.

I don't know who the other candidates are of course, but that would be a home run IMHO.A 525 ft dinger.!

Don't give him ideas.
