I think I'm going to clean up the shotski and bring it back to Houghton for the weekend.

This is going to be hard to hear for the regulars around here, but, with the exit of Dumb and Dumber, and a return to typical Tech forum posts, what has really changed? Conversation is still dominated by mindless, wandering, non-hockey drivel. I'm happy to see them go, but I think it's a bit hypocritical to jump right back in to your own special brand of off-topic, unproductive ramblings before the door even hit those two in the **s.

I've been frustrated with most of the content of Tech forum postings for several years, and that hasn't really changed since the recent bannings. Get on topic folks.

ITS JUNE, what do you want us to talk about? Half of the conversation is about a wedding where many of us will be in Houghton for the weekend. These threads are what they are...plenty of off-topic stuff, but no one here is trying to annoy...those 2 were fakes just trying to irritate people...big difference.

There's a difference between the usual OT talk in this thread, and the inane, three-page long self-conversations about Mel scouting local players in the WalMart parking lot that Dumb and Dumber were going on about. Sorry if you can't see it, but there is a difference.

Plus it's summer, do you really expect hockey talk 24/7? I know, let's talk about all the different line combinations we want to see that won't happen! And how about some more new jerseys? ;)

I mean, it's not like any of us are getting info on recruits. At least not any detailed info. And even if we were, it's not like we could blab about it here until there was at least a verbal.

I think we beat them in 06-07, so draw your own conclusions there, although they did add a defenceman recently. It looks like they head to Duluth after Tech, so they may be looking past Tech a bit, or they may view the Tech game as the one to win. With the remaining 3+ months, I think we can really break this matchup down.

That's actually kind of impressive. With everything that's going on and the actual forming of the bthc there is a good chance that a couple years ago when I said tech would win a NCAA championship before another CCHA team did, I could still be right.

Robo and Genoe split time, Mel continues his preseason evaluations, and Tech wins something like 7-2. There ya go.

If Pietila goes, it's likely to be in round 5 or 6. Also, tDarkness, I will take some of that Tech Kool-aid you're guzzling.
