Good call. It's actually highly likely that Nate is going to MTU. Froberg's dedication is pretty significant, as well.

I could see Nate walking on. He's in terrific shape, he had a great football game a couple weeks ago (all star game)

ctf is right. As someone that actually knows the man, I cannot see him saying that to a recruit. Walt, unlike you, is far too classy for that.

Walt Kyle doesn't have to say anything bad about our program. The last couple of seasons, the book has pretty much written itself. :o :(

Here's to hoping for some improvement this fall.

Considering where we are coming from going into next season, I think making the Final Five is a suitably lofty goal for 2010/2011. We'd love to hear these guys guarantee an NCAA or Frozen Four appearance during their time at Tech, but I say that until they've got a full college season under their belts, let's keep them focused on something reasonable and take it one game at a time.

Has anyone else noticed how the BADgers roster has been raped and pillaged over the offseason? :eek:

Here are their returning players (G-A-P), yes, this is all they have left:
Craig Smith, F (8-25-33)
Justin Schultz, D (6-16-22)
Jordy Murray, F (12-9-21)
Jake Gardiner, D (6-7-13)
John Ramage, D (2-10-12)
Derek Lee, F (1-8-9)
Sean Dolan, F (3-4-7)
Pink Drink Johnson, F (3-4-7)
Podge Turnbull, F (2-0-2)
Craig Johnson, D (1-1-2)
Eric Springer, D (0-0-0)

They lost: Stepan, Davies, B. Smith, Geoffrion, Street, Bohmbach, Bendickson, Mitchell, McDonagh, and Goloubef.

If there is a year where we might be able to eek out a win against bucky, this might be it. But I'm still not getting my hopes up.

wow, that's insane, but I'm sure they'll show a couple new kids their private jet and fill the roster once again

That's not true. Maybe another Erkkila did.

I guess you could say anything you'd like, but if you want to base it off accomplishments, Erkilla is a HS sophomore who is already committed to a DI school. He's also going to the USA prospects camp in NY this weekend which is a down selection of his age group throughout the entire state. I'd guess it's not all coincidence that he committed within a couple weeks of the selection and a week before the camp where he'll be exposed to the entire US and Canadian Hockey world.

I'm curious as to your basis.

Oh for Christsakes. Walt may not always be capable of dressing professionally, but I trust that he acts like a decent head coach. Why would he need to disparage other teams when he can more easily sell the benefits of his own :rolleyes:? Multiple CCHA Final Four trips and a recent NCAA appearance during his tenure, for starters.

Walt doesn't need to disparage the Tech program to his prospects. UtL is right in saying that we've done a much better job at driving away top prospects with our on-ice performance in the last two years, than Walt could ever do by opening his mouth.
