He's also going to the USA prospects camp in NY this weekend which is a down selection of his age group throughout the entire state. I'd guess it's not all coincidence that he committed within a couple weeks of the selection and a week before the camp where he'll be exposed to the entire US and Canadian Hockey world.

I don't have much of a basis, I haven't even watched him play. I'm going off a big size advantage for the two I mentioned (which is more valuable at the next level), and remembering Levi's cousin Jeff who was highly touted locally until he turned 16 or so and started slowing down. Same build, same hype... just my feeling... almost the same thing with his dad, too.
Course, I'm glad to see a hometown kid get a scholarship- hopefully he's successful. I'm just not losing sleep over Tech "missing him". Now if they don't get Johnson, then I'll be PO'd.

What part confuses you? That I'm not losing sleep over Tech not landing one of the 3 or 4 best players from Calumet, MI? Who turned 15 a couple months ago?
Or is it that I shared an opinion on the internets about a skater I've never personally watched? Like that's never happened. :p

Don't question the infinite hockey knowledge of JSR. He just knows things that our puny brains can't comprehend, and his unnamed sources are always of the utmost integrity. He's the Hokydad of the WCHA. ;)

To be fair, he probably has more knowledge than I do. And JSR obviously cares about Tech hockey. I'm just throwing out a hunch of mine for the fun of it, and because of a little sour grapes that another kid from my hometown is going away to play college hockey. Watch Erkkila put Gretzky to shame in a few years. :p

I'm going to forgo reading the last 4 or 5 pages and just guess what it all amounts to. JSR has a hard on for little high school yooper boys, 'diva is bonding even more with the Tech fan base, Brenthoven still remains the most intelligent one posting here (not sure how that works), FTB&G has too much time on his hands, CTF (aka jailbait) never stops taking the bait from JSR, and Dirty is just trying to get some attention (as usual).

Wrong! I'm not looking for any attention. I was simply pointing out that UND already has a recruit to replace the Yooper Murderer. I do question why he was in jail in the first place though. The less Yoopers in this world, the better.
