You are really bring your stupid "A" game today...being a lock for 5th place and going to Bemidji has nothing to do with my hope for MTU going on a run in the WCHA. Next time you open your mouth think about what you're going to say before you try and make the rest of us waste time reading your crap.

Yes, exactly this.

So you’d want to play a critical series without your leading scorer? Boehm, Hay & Merkosky were good players, but Salt was their best. Don’t give up on the Huskies because they’ve lost 3 of their last 4 at Bemidji. Gotta have a Tech-NMU Championship game!

Salt was not a better hockey player than Rick Boehm.

We have a commitment from Parker Saretsky, a 6'0", 170 lb. forward with Spruce Grove (AJHL) who turns 19 in a couple of months. He's the second leading scorer among 18-year-olds in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, with 56 points in 50 games, though he likely benefits from playing with 20-year-old Alaska-Anchorage recruit Chris Van Os-Shaw, who is running away with the league scoring title at 87 points. Parker has one more year of junior hockey ahead of him, which should probably take place in the BCHL.

Re: Michigan Tech 2017-18 The Joe Shawhan Era Continues - Getting Better Everyday

It was funny to see ardent opinionated fans of BG or ASU accuse the Tech fanbase of not being able to see things clearly.
While, I would agree, we are as passionate as they come, I have a hard time with hockey fans who have no clue what challenging the opposition bench in which you are up 7-2 will result in. The CHN article makes light of the fighting disqualification as if it was totally acceptable. There were no Tech majors as Mitch Meek stepped in to avoid another blind side hit to L'Esperance. As I mentioned, Steman and L'Esperance had ASU's lunch all night and they wanted a piece of them at the end of the game.

Looking forward to the NMU games. Coach indicated he is not a doctor so no word on the injured players. I would assume if not ready, they will be given the extra week for the attempt to get them back for the playoffs.

Also got a commitment from Tyrell Buckley a captain and defenseman playing for Merritt in the BCHL

Both these recruits look really good. Thanks for the update. I've been to a lot of college hockey games, no where, not even in North Dakota are fans more knowledgable than in Houghton.
BTW I spent some time last week at the 5 nations tournament at USNTDP. A lot of big shots came. Ken Holland, Steve Yzerman, etc. I sat next to the scouts from Nashville one night and from Florida the next night. There were nearly 300 scouts in attendance. The Hughes kid from the NTDP was real good. I think he might go major junior.

Jamie Phillips is making up ground on John Scott's professional PIM total. Jamie added 17 PIMs to his career total getting into a scrap after the final horn in Manitoba (AHL) last night.

Jamie needs to work on his fighting technique. Maybe he could give John a call for some advice and off season training.

Its a bold strategy to roster a fighting specialist in a level of hockey that doesn't allow fighting. Bold strategy indeed, Cotton.
Is this hockey or ice dancing? Let's just put skirts on these millennials. Every team needs a designated goon...touch our goalie and you're gonna get gooned... :D The W in WCHA used to stand for Wild not Wussy.

Heck, I was at a game where the PEP BAND got a penalty, no lie! The refs warned the band to stop playing after the puck was dropped and Coach MacInnes gave them the word to keep playing and take the penalty. After the next faceoff, they kept playing and TWEET got a penalty. The crowd went ballistic!!!

So are any other Husky fans headed to MQT tomorrow night? I'll be on the aisle in Section 10, which unless they've changed things, is right next to the section where they usually stick the Misfits.

Let's go Tech! Nothing sounds better than crying NMU fans after we beat them.
