Michigan Tech 2017-18 The Joe Shawhan Era Continues - Getting Better Everyday

You had to be there...

I was at an LSSU@NMU game where "Crazy" Frank Anzalone told on- and off-ice officials to have a fan's vevuzela taken away and to charge NMU with a delay of game penalty because of rule 67.3, claiming the plastic horn was an artificial noisemaker being used during play.

Said fan did have the horn taken away then spent the next two periods yelling at Anzalone as loud as she could during play. And was actually louder than if she had kept the horn.

Frank also asked officials if the fan could be removed. :D

Oh God the vevuzelas....MTU tried that against the Gophers a few years back (they were actually two kazoos taped together, to produce the correct sound). MN won the first night, and MTU fans ditched them the second night, because of the bad juju.

That would be Tech students. We will experiment until we get it right.

Tonight is a guilt free game. We play BSU on the road next weekend regardless of outcome, and we have a night to sit one out still.

NMU on the other hand can not afford to drop the gloves.

Looking forward to the game!

Our powerplay is beyond pathetic, it's costing us games, they better blow the whole PP system up over the offseason and start from scratch.

Tech played a clean game last night and battled hard. It was one of the closer and more exciting NMU-MTU games in a while. Tolvanen came up big on the late Tech attack. Looking forward to the trip to Houghton.

Edit: Kero had some impressive saves too. Hope you guys roll with him in the playoffs.

Good point. Last tilt I attended, December 2007, goalies were run into and I recall Jordan Foote turtling against Matt Siddall.

Last night, lots of hard hitting, but nothing nasty.

And last night, I talked to a few members of your Pep Band. Always a fun, pleasant conversation.

What was the attendance at last night's game in Marquette? What percentage do you think were Tech fans?

Go Huskies! Looking for good games out of the seniors. Gonna make the final home game of their Tech careers one to remember!

Wish I could be there tonight. Congrats to the seniors. They had a good run at MTU.
