Re: Michigan Tech '11-'12 Season Thread I: Hope Springs Eternal

Put the bong down... :p

I would guess probably about the same number would show for AIC, perhaps a couple hundred more. If they take care of business with a couple wins, then Wisconsin will bring in 3000+, though a couple hundred of them will be wearing the wrong color stripes.
I think its more likely that all 4 games bring in around the same. Although, Saturday nights might do better if they manage to win Friday. 3000 for AIC & 3200 for UW wouldn't surprise me just because it is a fresh start.

Maybe a slight homecoming bump. 3200 for AIC.

Good if the 3 cuts mentioned are to be the only ones. The new roster still lists the other 30 players.

Just saw this, poor dorito, I guess this isn't a surprise to any of us though. He bounced around a lot last year between forward and defense. Good to see him going out respectfully though.

enjoyed watching him. classy way to go. Good Luck Doritos!!

So you don't have to call us to complain, let me take the bullet myself.

Part 1 of 3 of the Tech season preview runs today, but I screwed up and forgot to include the second half of the story after the 'jump' on the page it says it's supposed to be on. The missing portion will be with part two tomorrow. So, don't blame Stephen - I'm the idiot here.

The complete story is on the website here: https://www.mininggazette.com/page/...kies-want-to-speed-up-opponents.html?nav=5009

You will be flogged at a later date. :p

HTTP 400 'Bad Request'

Kudos to the Institution. Try to keep up.

You know, the more and more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Michigan Tech is not really a tech school but an elaborate scam.

How have I not put some commit in here yet to mark the new thread???

Re: Michigan Tech '11-'12 Season Thread I: Hope Springs Eternal

Does anyone know if Tromp, the goalie from Hibbing, is still with the team or what plans they have for him?

AFAIK They let all walk-on tryouts go. He's still enrolled as a student, as that was his first ambition at Tech.

When Tech starts winning in the Mel Pearson era the seats will be filled. Copper Country fans are passionate about their Huskies and hockey in general. Back in the John MacInnes era attendence figures were always high. When things get turned around, Tech hockey tickets will be a hot item and the fans will show. A long dry spell in winning % has kept the fans away. I think the university made a wise choice in the hire of Mel. He is of the same mold of the great John MacInnes. He just needs some time to get his system in place. With that I say...... GO HUSKIES!
