Okay, first and foremost, the canned goal song and occasional playing of other canned music during stoppages it being looked into... The Misfits President got to sample it right before the game but the recording is low quality and she can't even make out what it is. Plus the Mac has terrible speakers so it makes it that much worse.
The thing is that what we do after a goal at MacInnes feels like one of the few things we have been doing right the whole time. Canned music at the Mac is never a good idea...that sound system is horrid. When the team starts winning on a regular basis it won't matter who plays what after goals. It will all be drowned out by 4,000 screaming fans.

Did Chris Connor get a two way contract with the wings? I see that they put him on waivers.

I completely agree. How about a canned "goal celebration" video on our new end of rink jumbotron, which will certainly come with Dolby 4000.1 surround - A speaker in every seat and that subwoofer from Back to the Future right over center ice.. ('Cuz you know someone at Tech has the skills to sync all those channels up!)

Okay, first and foremost, the canned goal song and occasional playing of other canned music during stoppages it being looked into. I know who is the one running it but I don't know if it was his idea or the team's. But the pep band had minimal warning about it right before the game and were simply told that a goal song would play first. Edit: The response I got was "It was a team request to change things up this season."
Yeah, I agree that if the team wants a little more of a pro-style atmosphere, then they should roll with it.
UMD's Band plays when we score. Then they play our "goal song" at the next break.I figured that might have been it. I know UND requested Chelsea Dagger after goals last year. They played a few seconds of it, then let their band have the fight song.
If it's the team's idea, I'm okay with this. The band's first and most important purpose is to serve the team. Their desires come first.
Tweet from Ricky Doriott:
had a great go with the hockey team at michigan tech..... wish all the boys the best and hope they start the new winning tradition for MTU!!

Also, not sure if anyone has mentioned it but we found out there is a new skating announcer for intermissions. Apparently her name is Rachel Chopp and she is a third year student that is part of the Tech skating club. Sooo basically Kali on skates.
Just got word from a good source that Evan Witt and Alan L'Esperance will be joining Ricky Doriott on the cut list.Just saw this, poor dorito, I guess this isn't a surprise to any of us though. He bounced around a lot last year between forward and defense. Good to see him going out respectfully though.
The wings have some tough decisions. Last night they played quite a few new guys and nyquist has made I'm sure, it but conner was not in the line up which is too bad.Did Chris Connor get a two way contract with the wings? I see that they put him on waivers.

What's the over/under on attendance this weekend?
Last weekend's attendance was about 2500 I think.
3200 and change! 4000 plus for Wisconsin!
