Sprague? Heck, I thought the poor guy died a long time ago. I'd have to think Comley's looking at a medical redshirt for the kid.

Perhaps he's trying to transfer?

I hear ya. Just how little incentive does BSU have to win that tournament?
If MSU does what it's supposed to do these next four games it won't matter.

The State News had a really good article on Petry today. I would suggest anybody to check it out if they wish. I really hope he sticks around for his last season.

Tonight is one of the happiest times of the season that i have had leaving Munn. I thought that game was wonderfully entertaining and i thought for the most part we played real well. Some messy looking mistakes but Ferris is a really good team so mistakes are gonna happen.

The one problem i really have was that shorty Ferris scored. I have never seen a more pathetic and apathetic shift taken all season. Horrible, horrible, horrible job. I was steaming mad for a long time after that and no matter how well we could have played, if we didn't pull 3 points out, that one play was gonna ruin the entire game for me.

Luckily the PP made up for that one for scoring that great GWG. That was a fantastic PP and a beautiful goal by Gazely.

Awesome to see a sellout crowd. What was the final attendance? I am really glad it was such an entertaining game with the good guys pulling it out. I think everyone was just about dying in the final minutes there with us hanging on to that lead.

Biggest win of the year. Great job, boys.

On a non-game related note... I gave the Mrs. $10 for hot chocolate and said she should get some 50/50. She pulled the winner for the 4th largest jackpot in 2 years!!! =)

After that, I missed the jersey raffle by 1 ticket! Had I pulled that off; Jersey, 50/50, and Spartan victory would have been the Ultimate Munn Hat Trick!!!

Wow that would have been unbelievable! Nice work on the 50/50. I remember my mom telling me about how years ago she was 1 number off from winning.


But i think we actually need Michigan to win tonight. I want no part of NMU being 1 point back going into the final weekend.

Anybody else notice Sprague playing? He even scored on his first game back.:) He played on the Chelios line for the most part which, I think, played well all game. Yeah I to also noticed that Ferris seemed to get those long passes that would spllit our dmen. Luckliy they didn't take advantage of it enough and we pulled out a 3-2 win:D Go MSU

I can only imagine how much more dynamic our offense would have looked with Sprague in there all season. I liked the way he used his body tonight and you could tell his teammates were fired up to see him out there.

I would like to see a Rowe/Sprague/Sucharski line...I think that would be fun to watch!

Good game. I felt like State gave Ferris plenty of opportunities to score but they couldn't take advantage. State did when they had their chances. That was the difference. Good game to watch, good crowd...just like a playoff game. It was fun to be a part of.

I know there are at least 4 games left to play before the NCAA tournament, but can someone toss out some numbers to help explain how hopeful I should be for a tournament birth? I understand the pairwise very well, but I'm not good at predicting it like some people. As far as I can tell if we sweep BGSU and win our CCHA 2nd round series I would expect us to be in. Yes or no?

I will be corrected because I am probably wrong... but BG is not a Team Under Consideration (TUC). Doesn't matter if we win or lose. Same for the CCHA tourney, unless it's a TUC, it doesn't matter. Right now CCHA TUCs are Miami, FSU, NMU, LSU, and Nebraska Omaha.

FSU was our last big series where we could affect our destiny. Now it all depends what all the other DI teams do.

We were 13th right after tonight's game, we have moved up to a tie for 12 with games still wrapping up. I guess that we are moving up still is a good deal!

And in the short 2 minutes since I edited that... We moved into a 3 way tie for tenth!

But our series.against BGSU plays a factor based on common opponents, no? I'm hopeful we can end the weekend in the T-10 position. I would also like to see UM win out and become a tuc to help our numbers a bit...
