Re: Michigan State 2009-2010
So, what would be the likelihood of me picking up four general admission tickets at the BGSU Ice Arena's box office roughly one hour prior to the start of the Saturday game against the Falcons?
I mean, I know BGSU's been drawing around 2,500-ish per-game, but is their any likelihood that their attendance would suddenly explode for their senior night?
We have not had a true sellout in 7 or 8 years. I'd be SHOCKED if you'd have trouble getting a ticket at the door, even on senior night.
A word of advice, especially if you only want general admission tix...don't, repeat DON'T go in through the main entry gate...with any kind of crowd at all it's always a total cluster****. Go to the back gate, at the NE corner of the building (across from the baseball field). They have GA tix for sale there, but
nobody ever comes in that way expect for the players comp tix and the savvy season ticket holders.
Another piece of advise. There's a high school regional swim meet going on all day just across the street, and a men's basketball game that will be getting out about the time you're arriving. Traffic and parking will be brutal, especially on Mercer Rd. between Wooster St. and Stadium Dr. Get off I-75 at the main (only) BG exit (Wooster St, SR 105) but
don't come all the way down to Mercer Rd...instead, turn right off Wooster St at the first light (Burger King) like you were going to the football stadium, then veer RIGHT and go around the back side of the stadium. This will bring you in to the back side of the arena, and the overflow lot between the softball field, the soccer field and the NE corner of the ice arena (which is where you want to enter, anyway.) When you leave the game, 99% of the traffic will want to turn left and go back to Mercer Rd...go the other way, and follow the way you came in, back around the football stadium, and you'll be back on I-75 before the car that was ahead of you in the lot has reached Mercer Rd.
