Re: Merrimack College Warriors 2015-2016: Come out and play
Shame we can't get Paige Voight on transfer loan from the Women's team.

According to Mike McMahon:
@MikeMcMahonCHN
Next year's Florida College Hockey Classic will include Cornell, Merrimack, Northern Michigan and Colorado College.
Cornell will also play two at Merrimack next season.

I heard while I was down there that Germain Arena is for sale. Don't know how true that is, but if so and it does sell, I wonder how that would affect the College Hockey Classic going forward after next year? Any insight?One of the more depressing Florida Holiday classic tournaments yet. Cornell is fine but MC and CC are brutal and toss in Mich Tech and outside Cornell, you will have 42 fans there, which amounts to less than one parent per player
Surprised they would do this with these teams

Do any of the holiday tournaments draw well outside the home team crowds?

Speaking of distress situations... A home match against Northeastern could certainly be what the doctor ordered us off the schneid.
be careful what you root for. they are 6-1-2 in their last nine and a loss and a tie vs BC in that stretch could have easily been 2 wins.
Sounds like a broken record sad but true. Same thing year after year
Except it's not the same thing year after year. It's the same thing the last two years but this is also still a young team. 18 underclassmen I think? I don't know what people honestly expected this year, but I didn't expect much. Slightly below .500, maybe? That's pretty much where they are. They were playing over their heads in the first half of the year.
Look at their best players. Outside of Christie and Bahe it's almost all freshmen or sophomores.
They looked pretty competitive first 5 games, have not improved since. On the same old same old comment, I was talking about the penalties and undisciplined play. That's been going on for a while. One thing to be playing a little on the edge, another to be tripping over it, 100 feet from play with other team backs to MC net, areas that can't hurt you. That is always lurking there and makes no sense. The better orgs clip that, mc doesn't seem to
Good to have another voice here. Yes, they have reduced the penalties significantly which is great.mc is middle of the pack in penalties, 7th, so to me the issue is far more the penalty kill which was great at the beginning of the year and terrible since.

You make some good points...they are very young (Foget especially). Given their pretty strong start, I thought they might be a little better than they have been in their recent stretch of games. I expected Tibbet, Hennig and Seney would raise their games this year and I haven't seen that (losing Seney for a stretch hurt what little offense they have). My expectation was middle of the pack (6-7th maybe), but that's not happening if they continue playing like they are playing right now.
