Marathon Killers Apprehended: the Aftermath

The bombers aren't Arab. They're Chechnian, and the younger one is a U.S. citizen. While it's certainly possible they are anti-Semitic, there's nothing at this point to indicate that's the case or that it played any role in Monday's events.

Your statement, at this point, is a bit like saying a Mexican Catholic must have hated the British 30 years ago because Irish Catholics did.

They're Muslim. Not all Muslims are Arab.

Whether they are anti-semitic or not, is not the point. It s simply ironic considering what they just did and the one hospital they both wound up in.

However, the bottom line is, you're taking our lighthearted comments way too seriously.

Most Muslims, in fact, are not "Arab." Or is it "A-rab," I can never remember.

Re: Marathon Killers Apprehended: the Aftermath

Not entirely related but the kid in Norwalk, CT who threatened to shoot a bunch of cops and had a standoff? Yep, went to college with him.

Re: Marathon Killers Apprehended: the Aftermath

This story is probably one of several that goes back over events and fills in details on some of the areas that were a little unclear before.

For example...

already, in that excerpt, a few details I find extraordinary: one officer facing down two men shooting at him until backup arrives, and then, when the older brother runs out of ammunition, they don't shoot him, they tackle him? just amazing.

oh, and the end of the story indicates that someone with a bullhorn had announced that the "suspect" had been captured alive, and then all the cheering and clapping broke out. I had heard some officious snob was worried about why people were cheering or what they were cheering, well that twit can now apologize for accusing others of blood lust. btw, when I saw that on the news, it seemed to me that people were expressing appreciation for the job that law enforcement had done.

The Star Tribune had an article about the final battle with the brothers. It said that the older brother had an IED granade thing go off in his hand.

They're Chechen MUSLIMS, in case you can't notice the irony.

I don't know whether or not THEY (Stupid 1 and Stupid 2) hate jews but the Koran is pretty explicit that Jews are meant to be killed. As to whether or not Israel comes into the picture... we know how people form these types of associations... if they (S1 and S2) had that type of animosity they wouldn't find much of a relevant difference.

And slime #2 runs over him and drags him down the road. He should be charged with vehicular homicide. Might as well pile on!

Whereas the Bible says if they don't convert to Christianity they will burn in hell forever. A much friendlier version.

Re: Marathon Killers Apprehended: the Aftermath

Apparently they did not have permits for the guns they used.

Maybe he just wanted a share of the reward money for killing one of the bombers :p

How may Christians are strapping bombs to themselves and targeting Muslims these days?
As I said, it's a much friendlier version.
