Money, facility, and fan laden Union becomes the first to make it to Tampa. Man.......hope that Maine has the ability to compete for future Frozen 4 appearances like the mighty Dutchmen of somewhere in New York do!!!
Fun while it lasted, better luck next year

At least Timmay saved his job![]()
Are you *trying* to be stupid? Or is this idiocy just coming naturally?
Fun while it lasted, better luck next year
Nah.....I'm trying to be a d*ck like you.
Aren't you the one (or was it someone else) that said Maine could never compete with the "big time" programs for Frozen 4 appearances and NCs????
So you don't think Union has a disadvantage? Check out this page: http://www.uscho.com/stats/history/union/mens-hockey/2011-2012/
Yes, they had a magical season, making the tournament for the first time since going D1 20 years ago.
In a one and done tournament, anyone can get lucky and make the FF - especially with a reasonable draw. Something that Maine proved a few years ago. But if you still want to trade places with Union . . . more power to you.
Maybe it's the beer, but my tolerance for childish BS is about zero right now. Apologies if it seemed out of order.
The only one acting childish is you. I'll tell you what I am sick of........the EXCUSE MAKERS. I don't want to hear anybody else whining about how the game has changed, Walsh isn't coming back (NO ***** DUH!), Maine can't compete because there aren't enough bars and shopping malls within walking distance of campus........and it's too far from everything (what the F is "everything"???.......oh yeah, and IT SNOWS in Orono!!!!
F......ck
Here's an idea.......start recruiting goaltenders that know how to control rebounds instead of looking like a little puppy running around chasing a ball........
Timmay must go!

Well, I never thought I'd see this, but I guess the transition to - and acceptance of - mediocrity, is now complete up at Orono. Make it to the HE Championship game (where you got smacked around by BC) and a one and done showing in the NCAA's and everything is well in Black Bear country. My, how times have changed....
