Re: Maine Black Bears 2010-2011 - Part Deux

The title line on the uscho page should of read its time to hit the eject timmay button!!! Its sad to even care anymore about the program becuase until that moron is gone the program is going nowhere but down!!! As in down in the rankings, down in the season end push, down in the 1st round of the playoffs etc.....the theme of failure continues and will as long as timmay boy is allowed to run(sink) the ship!!!
Why can't they just drop him off in Durham this weekend and leave him there???:D
That article in the BDN pretty much said everything, it was excuse after excuse, hot goalie, effort, blah blah, we lose...I don't look at stats...exactly why do I care about W or L...my loser buddy blake gave me 3 more years to lose and I know how to due that well......timmay " i am a loser" whitehead over n out!!! Thanks for paying me... win or lose... I get paid...

Bump.

His excuses have become the stuff of legend.........lol. :(

Re: Maine Black Bears 2010-2011 - Part Deux

I would trade all of our returning players and commited recruits for Whitehead stepping down. At least with Tim gone we would have a clean slate. With tim u can bank on 2 things.
1. There will be more L's than W's after the florida classic until the end of the season. 2. There will be excuses.

Re: Maine Black Bears 2010-2011 - Part Deux

You know enough about hockey to know there will not be 4 goal tenders. One or two will be gone.

Yeah
Which one(s) though, do you have any confidence based on the way Tim handles goalies, the right ones will be gone? I'd bet Sirman is still here

Perhaps we can get Julie "The Cat" Gaffney

Noticed Tanner House is a finalist for both the Hockey Humanitarian and the LOWE's Senior CLASS. He's gotta be doing something right, at least, and he's representing Maine well in the community. As much as we pizz and moan about what's going on between the dots, the community stuff matters. So thanks, Tanner.

Re: Maine Black Bears 2010-2011 - Part Deux

Boston University might go down in my book as the most consistently inconsistent team in the league. The Terriers ran off an impressive unbeaten streak to begin the season, hit the skids and looked like they might be chum for even the smaller of sharks and then walked into Orono last weekend and took three of four points from Maine. I remember a Jack Parker quote years ago that went something to the effect that the Terriers are always playing their best hockey come Beanpot time. Parker’s explanation for that was early February is generally when he stops screwing things up for the team and just lets them play.

This Maine team is one of the best in the country, they have a lot of heart, and do not want their season to end like last year, time is running out for at-large qualification, they can, and they will come out of the Whit with at least three points.

Yeah, coaching aside, its up to the guyz on the ice to get it done for 60 minutes. We know they're more than capable, do they have the guts to get it done is the real question. If not, they go down as perhaps the most disappointing group of players ever to play at UMaine. Strange things often happen on the ice, but hard work, paying attenshun to detail and playing to obliterate the opponent will usually erase these possibilities.

Re: Maine Black Bears 2010-2011 - Part Deux

When this team STOP's thinking their a good team and starts playing like a team then and only then will I believe they have a chance to make the NCAA's....right now they are lucky to be above .500 team and very close to being on the road for the Hockey East Quarterfinals....so the season is 3/4 done and they have shown what..? Play good one night then turn the next night's game into a nightmare....NO Consistant play...period.

Northeasterns record to date W8 L10 T6 slouch in my book. A team with maine's talent should beat them no questions asked.

The BC games I listened to on the radio combined for the weekend maine was out scored 8-1.

I also forgot to mention the dud they played in the opening round of the florida classic getting man handled by Miami of Ohio. I know it was how the team had to travel why they loss acording to our man of multiple ecuses Mr Tim Whitehead.

Maines record vs UNH, BC, BU, and Merrimack 1-5-2 this for a team that was ranked in the top 10 preseason

The numbers don't lie this season nor do they for the last 3 seasons under whitehead. I live in reality where do you live?

Beat them, or sweep them? Because from where I sit Maine went 2-0-1 against 'em this year. I don't care who you think is a slouch, if you've got a clue, you know getting 5 out of 6 points against anybody in this league is nothing to scoff at. Sweeping 6 out of 6 in any given year is a task.
