So Shawn overstayed his welcome in Orono then? He was the coach for 17 years...

Nope, his logic is flawless. Jerry, Jack and Whistling Dick have to go! :D

Those coaches were institutions, not run of the mill....

http://www.unhwildcats.com/sports/mice/coaches/Jim_Tortorella
it doesn't say specifically when but:
"Prior to his time at Colby, Tortorella served as an assistant coach at UNH as a member of Umile’s staff."

he coached in the maine high school ranks before colby... he was at brunswick high school in the late 80s and then later cony high school into the mid-90s... not sure if he went to UNH after coaching in the high school ranks, or before....

So you just contradicted yourself...

I suppose Gary Wright is an "institution" as well.

If the Bears go winless at the Alfond this year (admittedly a long shot, but not as long a shot as at the beginning of the season) AD Abbott should offer every season ticket holder a 50% refund.
That might make some otherwise meaningless games REALLY interesting. What do ya say Steve? Ready to go all-in with Timmay?
Good Luck with that one...they way they hose people for the $50 seats is bad enough..."HOBBY" has other things to deal with,he was at the game last weekend...maybe his next appearence will be in Portland...he's there more then @ UMaine, you know his real job discription.

50% sure:rolleyes: They even charge former players and their parents $20 each to go into the Alfond Family Lounge on game nights.

They do? I've never been charged. It wouldn't surprise me though. They charge $50 for seats and $10 to park. Guess going in the other door has paid off! :D

Re: Maine 2012 - The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly??

That isn't what the question was, the question was if/when he was at unh PREVIOUSLY.

This is Jim Totorella's second time around with UNH. He was an assitant coach for Umile for 1 year before he went to Colby so that would have been the 1994-1995 season.

So this would be sloppy seconds then ? :D

Re: Maine 2012 - The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly??

Two years ago UNH asst. coach Dave Lassonde went to Denver. That's when Tortorella went to UNH for his 2nd stint from Colby. He is currently the Associate Head coach at UNH.

Coincidentally, IIRC, I believe this player was a UNH commit, but wound up at Denver the same year as Lassonde. Bummer for UHN.

She is also innocent

Sounds like someone's name might be on The List. :)

From the videos I've seen, I would hardly call her "innocent". She's got a way with a popsicle.

Mid to late 90's seems likely, I remember saying hello to him one year at the HE tourney, not sure of the year, but pretty sure Shawn was still alive. '95 maybe, or '98?
You know what it's like to get old, the years just seem to run together.

Have you gone in the front door this year? Pay toilets will probably be next.

Nope. Now that I know there's someone wanting to part me from my hard-earned money at the front door, I have even less incentive to.

As Takahashi (the "new" Arnold on Happy Days) would say: Just go under.

I would expect the next "revenue stream" they try to tap will be PSL's which will entitle you to the seat not just for men's hockey, but for women's hockey and both hoops teams. Or do they already do that?
