Two years ago UNH asst. coach Dave Lassonde went to Denver. That's when Tortorella went to UNH for his 2nd stint from Colby. He is currently the Associate Head coach at UNH.

Coincidentally, IIRC, I believe this player was a UNH commit, but wound up at Denver the same year as Lassonde. Bummer for UHN.

Not to worry. UNH fans have bemoaned the loss of Joey off their soon to be national championship team for quite some time.

From the videos I've seen, I would hardly call her "innocent". She's got a way with a popsicle.

Nice work by mark Nemec to be nominated for Sr Class award. Seems to be a good kid, and and has been in program for 5 years, without drama...Good classroom kid apparently Good luck to him. How do folks get nominated? Cornell, Diamond, Pryor all seem to be good , stand up guys too...and HE only gets 2 nominees?

Will Merchant viewed as C level draft potential, 4th - 6th rounder in new Central Scouting list...No news on R Lomberg. 2 other recruits coming in as C level as well....(Boyce and Cloonan) Question is who will coach all these picks....

They do? I've never been charged. It wouldn't surprise me though. They charge $50 for seats and $10 to park. Guess going in the other door has paid off!

Will Merchant viewed as C level draft potential, 4th - 6th rounder in new Central Scouting list...No news on R Lomberg. 2 other recruits coming in as C level as well....(Boyce and Cloonan) Question is who will coach all these picks....

Their "family advisers" are really dropping the ball, allowing these potential draft picks to come to Maine. I thought word was out among all of them that Maine is now a dead end. Did they not get the memo? I can't think of any talent that has come to Orono and had any success at the professional ranks in recent years.

Jealousy is such an unattractive quality.

I do plenty to support the team that doesn't involve paying $20 to hang out in the Lounge. I know it pales in comparison to the hundreds of thousands KIA gives the alma mater every year, but I do my part.

I thought you were around the '93 team... where what percentage played pro (80%ish)?
and what percentage actually played in the NHL (like 50%).... a fantasy for current Maine players

Maine Hockey was the best fantasy in the country a little more than a decade ago too, and on several occasions it has been in the top 4, fantasy wise, much more recently. Maine Hockey swept the best team in the country last year at home too --not bad for a FANTASY! As Edgar Allen Poe once eloquently said: all that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream; so you might as well take the good with the bad and enjoy it!

the fantasy I was talking about was the idea that many Maine players had a chance of getting to the NHL... not just one player every 5 years or so.

do you study? or do you just take the tests and then take whatever grade you get, and enjoy it?
