For those who doubt Steve Abbotts ability to be AD, he got 5 million from New Balance to rebuild the Field House and help fund the Pit rebuild. The Field house rebuild starts next spring, hopefully the Pit project starts in 2013.

You might want to consider that the program, players and coaches have support outside of the athletic department...outside campus, even.

Or do you think I'm Timmay too?

and seemingly mostly from people like you, who have not dared step foot anywhere near the alfond in how many years?

way to support the program.

IMO we'll do just fine. I love watching Black Bear hockey. Let's root for our players because they try hard every shift and they are probably reading this thread too. They deserve our support.

If you're new to this in the last half dozen years or so, you haven't even SEEN real Black Bear hockey so I don't know how you could love watching it. We do have some worthy individual players who deserve our support, but the team as a whole clearly does not. You do the worthy players no favors by supporting a program that sets them up for failure. Then they can spend the rest of their lives reflecting back on all the excuses why they didn't succeed that TW will trot out, instead of remembering the thrill of dedicating themselves to something and being repayed with beating every other team around and hoisting trophies with their best friends. Lets not pretend that our current players will ever even have the chance to earn those memories as long as Timmay is running the program.

I'm guessing big papa has nothing to do with being a Maine fan...just another troll probably of Bc origin and probably one we are all too familiar with.

Anyway....go TB Black Bears ! :D

LOLOLOL.

Nice to see the summer paranoia is in full swing.

Don't know who this knucklehead is, but he is annoying.

why don't you send that VERY WELL WRITTEN note to Corkum, Abbott and Friends of Maine Hockey.

and send it to Tim...and see if he even cares that he is ensuring so many of so little.

I was one of the people who had a tear come to my eye when I read that Paul Lynch was buried in his Maine jersey... because that short time in Orono meant so much to him.
the days of wearing a Maine jersey and feeling pride have gone by the wayside... even Pro1disp/Priceless is more proud of his time cleaning socks and sewing sweaters than Matt Duffy could possibly be of his experience he suffered through.

Which exactly tells me he's BC trash. Just like you Nicky. ;)

Thanks for the compliment Larry!

Maybe you are right. No Maine fan could possibly be as excited as this guy is for Maine hockey's future and their recruiting (both of which are terrible and will be terrible for a long time). I'm convinced this is a gag poster.

You have a great long weekend (and same to you KIA)...

Just look at what he is saying on the BU thread. No way this guy is a serious poster.

Seriously guys, we have a very good program. I just don't understand the negativity? We have great recruits coming in and this season we will still be okay. Maybe kids like Amestoy will jump up and fill the holes. he's a good player just needs a chance.

I don't think any of those guys are on the same planet as Gustav Nyquist. Maine couldn't win with Gus. Without him? That's the source of my pessimism.

Re: Maine 2011 Offseason #2: Wondering If We'll Outdraw Women's Hoops This Year

I know, Gus was awesome! My favorite player! But this is a chance for someone else to step up. Maybe Flynn and Abbott will have a monster year. Just not sure who will fill the hole in the middle?

Maine Baseball defeats Albany in the America East Championship and advances to the NCAA Tournament.

It's about time someone does!

First Blodgett is fired.......now Trimper comes up big when he really needed to. The pressure has now shifted to Cozzy, TIMMAY and Woodward. I say that only 1 makes it past next season.

If you guys had Purcell, Maine would be really awesome.
Woulda gone to like 8 Frozen Fours.

Yeah, but he would have mailed it in and Maine would lose.
