Its actually a really smart move retaining the bleacher seats. First off, you can fit more bleachers in an area than large chairback seats. The chairbacks will have 30" of legroom and will vary from 18-22" in width. The bleachers will have 24" of legroom and be 18" wide; same as before and the industry standard. More chairbacks equal less seats. Second, the concrete on the ends doesn't have to be changed for bleachers. Other than moving and adding staircases on the north ends, along with expanding ADA seating, the bleacher sections will remain the same. It would of been very difficult to adjust the concrete to accommodate chairback seats with the lower skyboxes and locker rooms underneath the south end.
