Re: Maine 2011 Offseason #2: Wondering If We'll Outdraw Women's Hoops This Year

Is the Maine / UNH game at Fenway rumor dead? Any word on that?
no, UNH moved its game vs. BC scheduled for the 7th of Jan to the 28th (or 27th, I can't remember) to accomodate the Fenway game that weekend... .details are being worked out, it'll happen

Greg Moore

Greg Moore

Hi all -
I have a game worn jersey of former Maine stand-out Greg Moore for sale so I figured I would offer it up here. The jersey is from Greg's 2008-09 season when he was captain of the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL. The jersey is $225 shipped (within the US). If you are interested feel free to PM or email me at info@johnsonsjerseys.net and of course, trades for college game worn jerseys are always considered!
:D

This guy clearly has no idea what he's talking about, he didn't even bother looking up the fact that Maine has missed the NCAA's for the past 4 years and not 2 like he writes at the beginning of his article. I would advise that people don't get their hopes up for this season based on someones prediction who can't see basic patterns.

Wow! Someone loves the Bears. Wait! Was this a national ranking or Just Hockey East?;) Good luck. You have plenty of talent right - if managed correctly. With improved goaltending, your guys should do well.

And golly-gosh,that is the crux of the matter...Maine hasn't had any goaltending in years.

Re: Maine 2011 Offseason #2: Wondering If We'll Outdraw Women's Hoops This Year

Goaltending will be the Questionmark going into camp...Ouellette and Sullivan need to improve big time,if they are streaky or up and down it will spell a long season for Maine Hockey...here's hoping I'm wrong.

Nor solid defense. Goaltending hasn't been great, and at times, pretty terrible, but when your defense is leaving you out to dry time and time again, it doesn't help make your goaltending look any better. The two are somewhat related, as a good solid defense can make a goialie look pretty good.

Alas, we haven't had either for quite some time. It's possibe there might be a causal relationship in there somehow, but I'm having trouble putting my finger on just what it might be right at this moment. :D

well, gosh, that's easy... Grant had a bad recruiting class about 6 years ago.

and Bush left the current administration with this horrible debt

Re: Maine 2011 Offseason #2: Wondering If We'll Outdraw Women's Hoops This Year

I think we'll all survive.

No doubt. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

On the other hand, if Abbott & Co. think that losing up to $125K or more per season in revenue is a good thing.......more power to them. There's an article in the paper about the football program and their $400K in air travel expenses for the coming season..........not to mention impending cuts that are coming. It's a great time to decrease capacity! Of course, there are the safety issues as well as the dozens of people who attend games in wheelchairs. I don't know how everyone handled that lower bowl seating for the past 3 decades!!!

:rolleyes::cool:

The best part of the story is only the sides are getting chair back seats, the ends are staying the same with freakin bleachers, WT F are they doing?

I thought they were putting back seats all the way around on the lower bowl?

I have looked at the drawings, but I'm not an engineer, and it doesn't appear that the seat back changes are happening on either end.

From the BDN article
The seating on the north (balcony) and south (luxury box) ends will be replaced with similar stadium-style bleachers like those installed on the side sections of the upper levels.

Isn't that what was already there? Must have run out of money
