Lowell/Boston University (Home and home), 2/22 & 2/23

Re: Lowell/Boston University (Home and home), 2/22 & 2/23

I'm planning on going.. Think I need to get tickets ahead of time? I'm guessing the way BU fans are complaining that there'll be plenty of red seats?
id be utterly shocked if you had trouble getting a ticket at the door.

Tickets going fast for Saturday's game. As of today, over 5000 sold and it looks like it will be a sellout.

Like a Fenway sellout or an actual sellout where there are no more tickets available?

I doubt it'll actually get to the points where we can't sell any more tickets, there will be SRO tix avail after all the seats are gone. To answer the question, earlier this year, we had attendance of 7103, when we seat ~6400.

Y'all still tarp seats?
Haven't seen the tarps much. They were originally used because we were getting around 4k a game. With that number being over 5k this year, they've really not been needed.

Well gonna snow a foot, so the point is moot

Re: Lowell/Boston University (Home and home), 2/22 & 2/23

Just an FYI that Lowell's annual Winterfest activities were rescheduled to this weekend after the blizzard a few weeks ago forced the move. This will impact travel to Saturday night's game at the Tsongas so plan your travel accordingly and seek alternate routes to the arena, leaving extra time to get around.

I don't think the tarps have been used since the University took over the arena, and if they have, it's only been 1 or 2 games.

I feel like this always ends up being during a BU game, probably an exaggeration, but it is definitely not the first time this has occurred during my drive to Tsongas.

Thanks for the heads up!

At least Lowell now knows who they'll be facing...

Goalie update: Matt O'Connor will start Friday night's game. Sean Maguire will start Saturday.

Re: Lowell/Boston University (Home and home), 2/22 & 2/23

This entire thread is sandbagging, tarps, ice sculptures, start time, and goalie rotation.

Someone bring up the 2009 HE Championship game to liven things up! (It wasn't a goal, by the way. ;) :) )

Long live the Chiefs.

It does seem like we always play the home/home right around Beanpot time, which is also right around Winterfest time. So your feelings are not totally an exaggeration.
