LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

quick note:
Sawyer's line, something like: "the pilot that looks like he came from a Burt Reynolds movie" made me laugh as much as any other one liner in the 6 seasons of this show.
:D
That was pretty excellent.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

I agree, I was surprised to learn there'd be a week off... is there anything major on TV Tuesday night? I'd rather have had them start a week later... and heck, last night would have made more sense to have a night off than next week... (unless something else major is on TV Tues night?)
Nothing major on TV next Tuesday that I know of. It's the usual stuff. I am surprised they are repeating the Richard episode rather than doing like a recap show with some sort of teaser at the end to get you ready for the final act.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Maybe others got this when it first aired, or maybe I'm just dense, but I caught the very end of the Richard episode tonight, and something struck me.

When Jacob and the MIB are talking, Jacob says it won't do any good to kill him, as others will come and take his place, and the MIB says, "I'll just kill them too".

That's why Locke is so insistent that they all have to leave the island together, it's the only way he will be able to leave. If any of the candidates stay behind, they become the new Jacob, and he's stuck there on the island still.

That just might bit it right there. If there's no Jacob, then nothing keeping MIB on the Island.

Lost returns tonight after a week off. Should be a great episode.

EDIT: WHAT. THE. HELL.

So, we ran out of ideas for the show, and we're going to start killing everyone. Enjoy!

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Dammit... okay, what happened?

Seriously, I missed it and I don't care if its spoiled, I need to catch up.

(Unless there's a place where I can go watch it now...)

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

For some reason, I don't think it actually happened. I just don't. Also, at the end, Jin walked right by Jack and Locke and they didn't even notice....

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Not too many deep questions or answers last night.

Jack seems to have figured out the island and fLocke. Too bad James is so insistant. But it does seem to be a loophole problem in the rule- MIB can not kill any of the candidates, right? OTOH, the candidates can kill each other. But it's ok for MIB to set them up to attempt to save each other, and then have them die? So just interaction is required???? That seems weak to me.

Major problems with Jin and Sun dying- really liked them, and I guess I should be happy that the show will end in a few episodes.

In terms of the sub- uh... don't all subs have an emergency system to bring them to the surface immediately? It's not as if they could have gone that deep that quickly from leaving the port. I know it was needed to "make the plot"- but it's not that hard to surface a sub very quickly. And for sure, it should not take more time to go up as it does to go down (when in control, that is). But then again, this is from the writers who have Jin and Sun talking to each other in English first....

Anyway...

How about that alternate future where Locke crashed a plane to disable his dad? And James still needs to seek his revenge on Mr Cooper...

Music box? Should that have triggered something? Yea, that was the music Claire was singing when fLocke was killing all in the temple.

(one question- is water fLocke/MIB's kryptonite?)

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Kate ruined Sawyer's plan of escape when Widmore threatened to kill her. Kate ruined Jack's plan of not getting on the sub when she got shot and he tried to save her, thus bringing Jack and the C4 on the sub which led to several deaths. Kate continues to ruin everything! There's my summary of last night :D

That's why she isn't a candidate anymore ;)
