Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End
For Desmond at the end- was that him acting on his own, or at the direction of Whidmore?
BTW, did anyone else think that fLocke broke the rules with Desmond when he threw him down the well? I thought he could only do via free will for many of these folk.
Also, it was interesting at the beginning to see Mile's dad giving the speech for Hugo- again, we HAVE to remember that 1977 HAPPENED, so he WAS on the island at one point. Kind of interesting to see him tied with Hugo, as it will be interesting to see how he's tied with Miles (hugo, not his dad...

).
While I was suprised to see Ilana go, it sure wasn't suprising to see her blow up like that- geez, could you have projected that happeneing longer? Throw water bottles in over the dynamite, then shake, then drop- boom. Artz did a lot less than that to get his boom. Sorry to see her go, for sure.
Any comments on Mike, and the others who are dead, but stuck on the island?..... I thought those ideas were laid to rest a LONG time ago- this isn't purgatory, right?
Back to Desmond- he's putting connections together, and the connections are seeing the alternate life pretty clearly. Who is next?
(and why do I keep thinking bad thoughts of what happened on the island- I kept thinking that Libby would get killed prior to the date, and keep forgetting that many things change in this alternate reality- many in a good way. Who's alternate reality is worse than before? Many are equal (kate), arguably Claire is worse (but we will never know if they would have met her at the airport or not), but for the most part, bad things are not happening.)
