LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

So, why is Desmond so special to be dragged back to the island? The good news for seeing him is that we get a Desmond show, which, in turn, means more PENNY!!!! :D

Unlikely. She's too busy flashing on Thursday nights.

I've been waiting for Desmond to reappear. When Desmond and the Oceanic Six met with Eloise to return to the island, he refused to go and she told him the island wasn't done with him. Can't wait for next week now :D

Yea, I'd like to know who Penny's mom is- knowing that Whidmore is her dad, and that Daniel was also born of his loins- Penny and Daniel are brother and sister. Who probably don't know it, even though Desmond when to Dan after he got off the island.

There's some interesting depth to the realtionships.

For that matter, isn't Pak and Whidmore connected, too?

(and last week, did we notice that the capitan was Hanso? Remember the commercials?)

In the scene where Jin and Widmore meet up and Widmore finally shows him the pictures of his kid, I could have sworn that I heard Widmore say "That'll be all, Ellie." The woman also said she was a biophysicist. Hmmmm.....

Her name is Zoe and she is a geophysicist.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Can I request Claire get to a shower at some point this season? Preferably on camera, but I would even settle for an offscreen dip into the ocean.

It'd be nice, but she looks kinda hot as scraggly, wrumpled jungle woman.

Some real good quotes this episode.

Miles: "Unless he's covered in bacon grease, I don't think Hurley's gonna find him"

Ben: "Why don't you believe me?"
Elena: "You're speaking"

So, why is Desmond so special to be dragged back to the island?

Because he's linked to all time periods of the island, or at least roughly the last fifty years? Meaning he can skip around between different times and possibly(?) bring elements from different eras together? I wouldn't know for sure, but I'd guess this might have something to do with it. Did they need to drug him so he wouldn't have another episode when nearing the island like he had last season?

I thought those episodes were over after he contacted Penny in both time frames. But you might be onto something. He might be special because he turned the key in that destroyed the hatch.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Penny helped anchor him, I forget the reason why now, as whatever power he did have was bouncing out of control. But perhaps there's a way to harness or control whatever he hasd, and use it for some purpose.

Widmore is still just ****ed that Desmond was tapping his daughter, so he's going to torture him where he is free of pesky laws.

She was his "constant."

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Right, I was thinking Daniel was his constant, but Desmond was Daniel's constant, right?

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

I'm so excited for tonight's Desmond episode that I'm giddy. :D

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

My DVR decided not to record Lost again tonight. ***?

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

That was the best episode of the season. I don't know why, but there was something just magical about it. Maybe cause it was Desmond and Penny, and love and destiny, and everybody feeling the vibe that there's something more, something not quite right about where they are, and that they can find where they're supposed to really be.

And Fisher Stevens, too.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

This wasn't a Desmond episode, it was Charlie's FlashForward. ;)

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

So, what was it that Desmond said at the end, when he asked Fisher Stevens for the manifest? That needed to show him? Or was it them? And who was he talking about?
