Latest pairwise rankings

This is the B1G's year, and they'd better grab the ring this time. Unfortunately, the cynic in me thinks the rest of college hockey is still bitter about the B1G coming into existence, and I think there will be some miraculous mental gymnastics coming into play that puts all the B1G teams on one side of the bracket. They're absolutely not going to allow three B1G teams into the Frozen Four again.

I’d be stunned if the BIG didn’t at least have a shot at getting 3 to Tampa. Obviously a lot of numbers can change but Minnesota is 100% going to Fargo and Penn St is hosting in Allentown. If Michigan and Ohio St also end up in one of those regionals it’ll be because of the numbers (or keeping Q in Bridgeport) and not a conspiracy theory.

Agreed.

I can assure you for the rest of college hockey, outside maybe NoDak and Denver, nobody cares.

Miami of Ohio and Bowling Green (and probably all the directional Michigans excepting Western) still seem pretty chafed about it. You're right though that the Eastern conferences weren't affected and could care less.

That's true, I wasn't even thinking about the Bloated M.

Poor Miami. From great to woof in 10 seconds.

What a crazy, crazy night of college hockey!

MN survives a game giving up 2 goals on 2 minutes of 4 on 3 & 3 minutes of 5 on 3 on a simultaneous double major penalty.
Wisco knocks off PSU on the ROAD!? what?
Notre Dame goes into Michigan and takes 4 points on the weekend and earns home ice
Minn St. finds a way in the last minute of the game to avoid being co-champs with MTU
Merrimack with a big sweep to keep themselves alive and well
DU sweeps a hot WMU on the road (look out for the defending champs)
Omaha bounces back and stays alive
Alaska stays in the hunt at #12 currently

There's a lot of story lines heading into the conference tourney's. What a weekend.

A little while back the bracket looked fairly neat and easy. It's still rather easy to figure at this point just a little messier due to trying to keep Minnesota and Quinnipiac in their closest regional and the fact Penn State is then in Allentown.

Fargo:

1. Minnesota
2. Harvard
3. Ohio State
4. RIT

Allentown:

1. Denver
2. Penn State
3. Western Michigan
4. Notre Dame

Bridgeport:

1. Quinnipiac
2. BU
3. Michigan Tech
4. Minnesota State

Manchester:

1. Michigan
2. St. Cloud State
3. Alaska
4. Cornell

JD, I came up with the exact same bracket. A lot of hockey left obviously.

Ya there is more stuff you can do like trying to get BU to Manchester but based on track record I don't see the committee doing it. If they already have to give Penn State an advantage of being with #3 overall instead of #1 they won't want to do anything else.

Allentown looks like a nasty bracket in the above scenario.
