It is certainly the most interesting. I have never seen Adrian play. Let's see, a good team to team comparison would be the 2007 Fiesta Bowl I suppose. Lets hope the outcome is not similar!

I'll be at the EC-PSU game. I'd love to be at the Adrian game, hell I'd love to be at the Oswego tournament this weekend!

Very much so.

The only difference is Oswego is the top ranked team while Oklahoma was the #10. But still...Totally understand your point and agree with it;)

I like Elmira in a close one, but really don't know anything about Adrian. Will be pulling for Oswego just because it will be difficult to take should they get beat by the power house of the west.:)

If Oswego gets beat by Adrian and then Hamline disposes of the Bulldogs...the East is HURTING big time in crossover Pool C comparisons.

Well, Hamline plays Adrian before Oswego does, so your timeline is a bit off.

And that game would only count for secondary criteria, so it'd only matter if a comparison was too close to call. And salem's win over snc will help.

For pool c, this particular game would only really potentially matter if Oswego and Adrian end up facing off for a pool c bid, which isn't one or the more likely matchups.

If Hamline sweeps Adrian and Oswego loses, then it'll matter if wego and Hamline end up head to head, and Oswego would have a handy advantage in strength of schedule I believe.

A lot of hockey left to play for everyone, it's hard to pick any game as that important for NCAA purposes right now.

Oswego 4 - Adrian 3 in OT or 3-3 tie, not 100% sure which...
Plattsburgh 4 - Elmira 2

Every game counts Scott.:)

Adrian and Oswego both play teams (as well as the teams that they play) that could/will be in Pool C consideration. So this game does matter in secondary criteria when it comes to considering Pool C cross-over match-ups.

If Hamline sweeps Adrian and Adrian beats the East's #1 team Oswego..any team that beats Hamline gets a very nice boost in the committee's numbers an eyes when it comes down to a cross-region comparison.

Anything can happen in "the smoke filled" rooms...you and I both know that and objectivity can be thrown out the window if wanted. A "loss to Adrian" or a "Win against Oswego" can be justified as more or less important at the committee's discretion when it comes to ranking teams.

No one from the MCHA will be in pool C contention. The Adrian-Oswego game is certainly a biggie as far as fan interest goes, but aside from that it's about nothing more than image and the result of the game will do nothing to change anyone's preconceived, often ignorant, notions regardless of who wins.

I wish I could make it up there on Friday, but not getting out of work until 5 pm down here in the Elmira area will make it almost impossible to change and get there by game time. I'll definitely be at the Saturday game. But is it really a 4pm game????

I will also be at Oswego this weekend for the tournament. I hope EC and Oswego get to have their rubber match.
