For some posters, if your opinion differs from theirs (even if you clearly identify it as your opinion), you're automatically wrong and posting nonsense, regardless of whether or not they have anything to counter that opinion outside of their own personal point of view. It doesn't take long to identify these posters, and discussing politics with them is as futile an exercise as herding cats.

If you ever get a chance to meet Thomas, he really is very intelligent. The reason he doesn't ask questions during oral argument is that he doesn't believe it adds anything to the briefs and voluminous records already given to the court.

You just don't get it. Clarence Thomas is a race traitor--a conservative African American who somehow escaped from the liberal plantation--and that is all that matters. Not his competence, not his questioning or lack thereof during arguments, not his opinions. A man whom the smug punks responsible for "Boston Legal" thought it was good fun to ridicule. The liberal disdain for Thomas has no half life.

But we do have Teddy Kennedy's concern about Thomas' alleged lack of concern for the rights of women to entertain us into eternity. The late Lewis Grizzard opined that Teddy should have covered his head with a bag during those hearings.

Bob, look on the bright side: General McChrystal's now available to lead the invasion of Arizona ('course some command details need to be worked out with Santa Anna first).

well, if we give the president what he wants, maybe he'll look into it... funny though that every stripe of amnesty bill would legalize these drug runners as much as anybody else.

Maybe we could get McChrystal to head up the border efforts here in Arizona. I doubt he'd sit back and let law enforcement be threatened by Mexican drug lords the way Obama will. But then Obama would probably fire him from that job too.
