Re: I Think I'll Go For A Walk - Death Pool Thread

except by life insurance companies when you want to file a claim! ;)

when my sister died, my mother declined an autopsy, and some of us (those with children) were a bit annoyed at her, because it would have been nice to know that it was not from a hereditary condition.

I can fully understand. Early in my career, when i was hospital based as an intern or resident, I would try to get families to agree to a post mortem exam. Mostly in cases that we were just not sure of the diagnosis or when the patient seemed to have some unknown process going on in addition to our original diagnosis. But i always respected any religious objections. Often i would try to get permission for what was called a limited autopsy-leaving certain areas untouched (like the head). I never could understand the necessity though in even asking for permision in someone age 95 who seemed to have several fairly obvious reasons for their demise. Touchy subject though as autopsy was always considered a valuable learning experience in those days.

My first thought was Romney will be sad. (which makes me sad to realize just how much the spin doctors got to me)

I loved my Etch A Sketch. I had a friend who was amazing at drawing things but I just loved to sit and doodle. There was something soothing about it.

Les-it used to frustate the heck out of me. I also had a friend who could draw landscapes on th e thing-while i struggled to form a square. I was never adept with the two little dials and got bored with the toy quickly.

Especially on this one, when his brother says that "Rahman, though, said he hadn't seen his brother since last summer and had no contact with the family."

So how the hell does he know?

Yeah, but Twitter is a really shaky source of information.

Apparently so. :o

Muhammad Ali is celebrating the Super Bowl in good health, according to a family spokesman who denied published reports in England saying the former heavyweight champion is gravely ill and near death.

“He looks great,” family spokesman Bob Gunnell told the Louisville Courier-Journal. “He’s having a Super Bowl party.”
