How about a baker's dozen, Buckentine? Minnesota at Michigan Tech, November 19-20

Re: How about a baker's dozen, Buckentine? Minnesota at Michigan Tech, November 19-20

Yeah, already waiting for a response from Nick. Also, Minnesota fans won't be as plentiful because of football and hunting. It would work best for everyone involved.

It'll probably be just a BS band on Saturday anyway.

And as for your GPL post - glad to see my sign is still in circulation. :D

Yeah, with both hockey games being volunteer games, I can't see much of a band showing up

I live with one of the student conductors and even he's not gonna be there

Re: How about a baker's dozen, Buckentine? Minnesota at Michigan Tech, November 19-20

As long as they don't get mustard packets thrown at them :p

You might be able to sneak tSBFitW over there too, as they'll be just as depleted I'm sure.

(For those who just got here, this is the first weekend of Tech's Thanksgiving break, so the arena might be emptier than normal for the Minnesota contingent. As in a lot emptier.)

Mustard packets? What, can't afford barbecue sauce?
Guess all that money goes towards the nachos.

Actually, after sampling the glorified hot pockets they call pasties, I bet they don't carry bbq sauce because it's too spicy.

You wouldn't be able to tell that place is overrun by Finns, could you? There is more flavor in styrofoam than in one of those stupid pasties.

Breakbast Pasties are awesome however. Cannot wait for one of those!

Re: How about a baker's dozen, Buckentine? Minnesota at Michigan Tech, November 19-20

don't forget !!

Everyone is invited to attend a Blue Line Luncheon on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19th at noon in the Begg Conference Room at the Grant Educational Center, Student Development Complex, to hear from Coach Jamie Russell on how the season is going. Cost is $8.00 for members and $8.50 for non-members. The menu is: beef stew, mashed potatoes, tossed salad, crusty rolls, fruit, and apple pie ala mode.

assume "everyone" means even the Gopher fans! ;):)

I must disagree with you on this issue, Señor Biddco. All pasties suck.

Re: How about a baker's dozen, Buckentine? Minnesota at Michigan Tech, November 19-20

pasties! yum! put some "Toivo and Eino's UPOriginal Pastie Sauce" on them.
nachos! the best in the WCHA!

Re: How about a baker's dozen, Buckentine? Minnesota at Michigan Tech, November 19-20

Will Tech be offering a webcast for this series? If so, can I find it through the main MTU Athletics page?

Get 2 goals ahead on these rodents, and they give up. Go Huskies! Is MeanEGirl going to be in attendance?

I think this is the most reasonable and accurate post I have ever seen from you, Skeeter.

It will be an interesting weekend, what with Tech's propensity to gain a lead and promptly **** it away, and MN's tendency to roll over when getting behind.

I'm curious to see which ineptitude will take precedence.

Are these games going to be on FSN north?

It's funny how much you still whine about that. Lots of regional foods are nothing more than "glorified ___________". I mean, if I wanted a jucy lucy anywhere on the planet, I could just ask for an overcooked cheeseburger with an onion slice. ;)

You don't actually know what a jucy lucy is, do you?

I was going to respond to this with the video from Princess Bride, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." and hopefully got a few laughs. Instead I find this:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lgS5I5R9qC8?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lgS5I5R9qC8?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

That guy is such a huge nerd, even Tech fans wouldn't associate with him.

Hey, I am the Voice of Reason, oh, and inanity.

Re: How about a baker's dozen, Buckentine? Minnesota at Michigan Tech, November 19-20

Pasties are amazing.

Also, the pep band will be there but in small numbers, as expected. Nick says that he'd like to sit near section L if possible. Having the Misfits, Goofer fans, and Pep Band together could salvage the game atmosphere.

I do - it's basically a cheeseburger (traditionally American cheese, though variations are common), with the cheese cooked inside instead of on top. In order to completely melt the cheese, the burger usually has to be cooked medium-well or hotter.
