How about a baker's dozen, Buckentine? Minnesota at Michigan Tech, November 19-20

What? What? WHAT?

A loss is a loss, and it's our fifth straight. As a Tech fan, whose team hasn't seen a 20-win season since 1988, I have a right to post Lions-esque images of despair when I want to. Deal with it, and be glad I don't do it after every loss. If this keeps up, the bag just might make it to the GLI.

As someone that rarely revels in the woes of any entity (unless under extreme circumstances) I hate seeing MTU struggle the way they have lately. I obviously am happy to see the Gophers win no matter whom they play, but I will always have a soft spot for the Min Div I schools and MTU, if perhaps not even a few others.

I'm sorry to say, I hear that a lot (particularly from older, wiser UM/MSU fans at the GLI) and to me it is merely polite conversation at this point. From the looks of things, it's going to be yet another year of exactly that. But hey, maybe we can take the Roberto Luongo approach and try to keep it under 10 against Michigan this year. :p

Actually, I was playing along with a meme started at the game. I'll have someone else explain it, though.

(Fear the) Wehrs was not happy with some call on the ice (I cannot recall what the call was). So he yelled "What!? What?! What?!" Then everyone started yelling What what what" Lil' John style. Of course we had to to yell "Yeah!" and "Okay!" to follow.

I am p|$$ed, this hockey team should be ashamed, that was some of the worst hockey I've seen...and I'm a Tech fan....

Sova, should get all the credit for the second goal which he basically put in immediately after we had tied it up

And Gordic, don't even get me started on him, couldn't skate, pulled back from every opportunity to play the body, made no good decisions all night long...

I'm done, I don't want to talk about this anymore, it's time to go the bar and drink it off...

But all in all....thank you Gopher fans for a great weekend, tailgating with you guys was great fun, had lots of fun at the bar with you, and here's to next year

EDIT: look at the box score for last night's game, why does Patterson have 59:55 of ice time? Do they actually count the 5 seconds he was off the ice for a delayed penalty?

EDIT2: I guess, if you think about it that makes sense, I guess I just don't pay enough attention and expect the goalie ice time to read 60:00 (except for the usual end of game scramble)

Would like to say thanks to all the Foopers who welcomed the MN fans into their city this weekend. Always a fun time, no matter how the games turn out. Hopefully they keep scheduling this series as much as they can in the future.

beef stew. secret weapon. telling the opposing team your serving beef stew and what? not one Gopher shows his face at Blue Line lunch.

don't forget to buy 50-50's from huskyfan! special deal! $5. gets you 7 tickets!

Uh, yeah... sorry about that. Had a little too much fun Thursday night and didn't leave the room until just before game time on Friday. :o
Bought our 50/50 tix from the meester, though.

If you're around next time we're up (we'll have to come up sometime between now and July), maybe we can try for dinner again. Maybe HN will even be able to attend. :)

As always, thanks again for the hospitality!
