Hockey East Semis - BU vs Maine 3/16/12

Re: Hockey East Semis - BU vs Maine 3/16/12

Love the enthusiasm of the BC fans.

It's BC's game to lose. So pressure is on them.

This must be your first time meeting TimP. For reference, one of his first, and still best, posts proclaimed early on in the 08-09 season that Matt Gilroy was unable to play defense.

But be honest, I think BU will play the last game of the season for HE.

They are just not that good.

I won't be the last game of the season no matter what, because they are already in the NCAA's...

I think he means BU will play their last Hockey East game.

(Though I'm pretty sure that the NCAA considers post-season out of conference)

Kieran Millan stopped 68 shots in the double OT win. He must is very tired. :D :D :D

Jackie better be ready to go or the Terriers are in trouble. ;) :p

Haha. I know where the humor and sarcasm is coming from here, but honestly, keep his name in mind when you watch him going forward. He's definitely flashing a lot of upside, and I anticipate he's going to evolve into an impact player for this team as an upperclassman.

He has dressed for the last 18 games, and has 3g, 4a -- 7pts with a +3 playing on the 3rd and 4th lines during that time. Not exactly Spencer Abbott numbers, but he's definitely an overlooked player who could come up with a big play, and definitely in my ideal starting 12 for this years squad!

I wouldn't let lackluster scoresheet numbers fool you when it comes to Maine freshmen. Last year, Anthoine only scored one goal; this year he was 2nd in the league in Power Play goals. Matt Mangene's 1 goal as a freshman was an empty netter, now he's Maine's top scorer beyond that top line. Tanner House scored 1 goal as a freshman before scoring 38 in his last 3 years. Going back even further, you had guys like Josh Soares with 2 goals as a freshman before scoring 47 in his last 3 years. So don't let his rookie scorecard tell you everything you need to know about this kid!

Good post and I appreciate the scoop on JP. I'll be eyeballing him on Friday night.
But, you looked way too deep into my post. I was merely concerned that if JP of BU wasn't ready to go, who the heck would pay the refs? ;)
