Hockey East Semis - BU vs Maine 3/16/12

Re: Hockey East Semis - BU vs Maine 3/16/12

Speaking of chants, an exuberant MC student thought he would run around the concourse at Alfond Arena after MC scored a goal waving MC's colors. Campus police intercepted him and politely put a halt to it. The chant? U-M-P-D, U-M-P-D.
A lowell student tried that once, I think some drunked up Maine fan smacked him

I really think Maine will take advantage of the fact that BU played an extra 4 periods last weekend, I'm sure it will have an effect on BU. Also, Maine is clearly a more physical team with a hot goal tender. Bears shouldn't have a problem scoring either with the best forwards in the league. Maine wins 4-1.

I get out plenty. The name changed a couple of years ago to the TD Garden dropping the Banknorth. Way to stay current! :)
ACS is the one who doesn't get out much, not you:)

Umm... this is a Maine/BU thread. Don't you know how to sandbag?

He did. He just took it to a new level.
I guess that makes double-reverse sarcastic boasting the new sandbagging.

I remember when sandbagging was as easy as writing "Timmy."
*wipes tear from eye

Please Maine, don't hurt 'em.

:D My bad.

TD Banknorth, otherwise known as the Garden unless your ACS and don't get out much

I believe it's actual called the Gahden. :D

Boy, Maine is going to kick our butts bad. Whatever you do, don't try to hit Courtnall. He is fragile.

my apologies.. I guess you could call me a rookie at sandbagging. There is no way last week will have any effect on BU from a conditioning standpoint, if anything they'll come in with a ton of momentum. Should be a good one.

BU will take advantage of the arthritis in the Maine players' wrists from opening the penalty box so much last weekend.

It's bad enough that Jackie owns the refs. Now we learn that BU players operate their own penalty box?

I take my last post back. Maine will have to be prepared for everything if they want to win by more than 3.

that Lowell student also ran over two tween girls that decided to take their time and walk side by side back to their seats as he was making his way around the arena. he slowed up for a bit behind them and then pushed his way through. When he got around behind the Maine goal some drunk maine fan, who had taken exception to that, grabbed him and pushed him into a poll. I my season tickets used to be in the back row behind the Maine goal, until I got sick of not being able to see the scoreboard. Anyway, UMPD took the Maine fan out of the arena.
