To be honest, I think Quinnipiac being second in every poll is "BC being 5/6 in every poll" level of overrated, but I'd certainly have left them in there somewhere.

For the most part these preseason rankings seem to be a courtesy to how you finished last year. With the exception being teams that crapped their pants at the end of the year like BU but are bringing in tremendous talent. The rankings are nice to talk about but if anyone really cares that much, just do them after the first month of the season.

Don't know where NU will finish but i was definitely skeptical of all the hype. Terrible goaltending for one. Questionable coach when you look at overall track record.

as i've said for a while, he just needs to be clued in as to when the season actually starts, it's the first week of october not the first week of january, then he's all set

My advice would be for you to keep wallet in your pocket.

Finishing behind UVM this season would be more than just embarrassing. It would require, at a minimum, serious injuries to our top 2 goalies and top two forward lines. That would be tragic!

... come to think of it I may have NU ranked way too high. I see a youge letdown for NU this season. If Ruck has a Soph slump they could be behind UMO.

Also they have a superior incoming class and more talent on the roster to begin with, so yes, if they finish behind UVM, that should be considered a failure.

Behind UML, BC, PC, BU, ND, fine, but not UVM.

Late season surges rarely translate into successful follow up seasons. They should be embarrassed, and I'm sure they will be.

Northeastern should be embarrassed if they finish behind Vermont.

It's tough enough to predict the outcome of one game, but since you asked: 21-10-3 for the regular season. 15-7-2 in Hockey East = 2-3rd place.

So you are counting on a mediocre sophomore goaltender to carry you again this season? That typically works out well for teams.

The confidence exuded by the NU fans have me even more excited for the season to start.

Ahhh, a trip down memory lane. Made even more fullfilling with NU sitting in 11th place in HE .... but hey, at least they are ahead of UMO. Congrats on a stellar follow up season Huskies and kudos to Ruck for avoiding that sophomore slump.

Crow while you can and deal with the consequences later makes things more fun than post nothing till the end of the season.

Also UML fans can attest that JCarter doesn't really mind crowing first and then being shown up haha... and for that I salute him!

True, I'm perfectly ok with being wrong... I'm also ecstatic when I'm right. Which 1/3rd of the way through the season and I currently look like a genius. The only thing that could make this better for me would be for GR8Sk8 to show up and tell me how awesome Ruck is despite his .877 sv% an 3.++ GAA. Why... because the eyeball test says so.
