Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

Another post that makes no sense. What does that mean? If I go to road games I would know that most BU students dont live more than an hour and a half away from the Agganis? Please clarify. Your posts may seem witty and funny to you but make no sense to others.

Um, yes, they are. I got it, as soon as I read it; from reading your posts, you just don't get:

1) That when school are shut down for Spring Break, the students have no where to stay. They're in college, where money is typically tight; if you're going to spend money on a hotel, why would you want to spend it on a hotel where you go to school anyway? It's called Spring BREAK, as in, I need a week away from school.

2) CbG's posts are usually clever, funny, insightful, or all of the above. You're simply so very narrow-minded as to not see that. What's best about your response is that he wasn't trying to openly mock you, it was a legit question; if you're a college student in North Andover, you really may have not been far enough off campus to realize that it takes at least three hours to get to the two northernmost Hockey East schools (and nearly 6 to travel between them - Route 2, yuck).

Keep trying, though. You must have lots of wonderful reputation notes to read by now.

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

Didn't read though all the posts, but any TV for the 3 games tonight for Directv?

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

...no 'daddy bought bmw' for me:( )
we already knew you didn't go to BC :D

Warrior15, while I appreciate your passion, you're not helping the reputation of the MC fanbase(such that it is). OF COURSE the Garden will have more fans if both BC (already there) and BU are in. Dramatically bigger schools, pretty short T ride, huge alumni base. Only stands to reason. Irishfan85, great post.

I was there in '98, the only time the Warriors made the Garden; BC crushed them 7-2. I believe it was the early game, and the place was virtually empty. Good luck to MC tonight, I'd love to get to the Garden again.

Figured this thread was the most appropriate place to post this: If BC beats UVM and then beats the BU-Maine winner, there's a very real chance HE will only end up with one team in NCAAs.

Its also setting up a potential gift for BC in the NCAAs. Many scenarios (Pairwise Predictor) have HEA teams getting two of the four 4th seeds (almost certainly if BU wins HEA.) If that happens, the NCAA will be forced to give BC either Ala.-Huntsville or the AH autobid to avoid a first round intra-conference matchup.

I was thinking that as well. Even so, BC hasn't lost a first rd game in forever. So it wouldn't matter much (and truth be told, Mercyhurst gave BC a good game in 2005 FWIW).

I feel less bad about PC hockey.

Actually that's a lie. There's nothing that would help that.

Any chance BC plays Yale???

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

That would be great, I have family that might come to that.

Not sure how likely it is, I would imagine it would almost definitely have to be in the 2nd round at the earliest.

Nicely done - ignoring why a Vermont fan is asking if BC might play Vermont. That's a good job outta you!! :)

It is possible that only one Hockey east team would make it but not likely.

UNH is more likely than not going to make the NCAAs. There are ways UNH doesn't make it with BC winning hockey east but not many. Most involve UMD running the table in the WCHA (again - they did it last year). 3 wins in 3 days against UND(#4t), Denver(#1) and either Wisco(#3) or SCSU(#4t) seems to be a bit of a tough road.

Strange but true fact upsets in the AHA and ECAC tend to help UNH, so would Michigan running the table in CCHA. Mean while favorites winning also help UNH.

As weird as the PWR is this year if RIT picks up one L, I am fairly certain UNH is in, regardless of any other results. That one loss by RIT makes them fall from being a TUC, and the teams that come in (it changes based on other games) either help UNH or hurt teams around UNH.

I have found a fairly stable (it can happen a bunch of ways) that UNH can get all the way to be the 10 seed.

Not saying it is right or even good but it is.

Wait... what?

Oh Good God. I need to stop posting when I'm actually doing work because I type too fast so no one will know I'm posting while at work. Heh. Sorry. :o

Haha... well I completely missed why they were asking that too. :p

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

BC has consistently good teams so the consistently do well in the post season. It's laughable that you and some others think that somehow a ****ty team is going to win come playoff time just because it's playoffs.

lol . . . Nice work.
