Health Care Reform - 1/6 of the Economy Up for Grabs

Re: Health Care Reform - 1/6 of the Economy Up for Grabs

We're still all waiting for the Republican plan. Lindsey Graham doesn't even know where it is. Maybe you could tell us?

Wow, way to deal with the issue at hand

Which one of the 5 proposals that were submitted and rejected by the Dems and not reported on by the media do you want?

Lindsey Graham gets plenty of face time. Why don't he mention it? If the 5 proposals have not been reported than as far as the public is concerned they do not exist.

Since they do not exist. Where is the Republican plan?

What kind of bass ackward logic is that?

How about you deal with the fact that the plan that is on the table is going to increase deficits?

Re: Health Care Reform - 1/6 of the Economy Up for Grabs

 How is a 500Bn reduction in Medicare payments going to increase the deficit??? Following MinnieMouseFan logic, I guess the governement should be increasing Medicare expenditures in order to reduce the deficit instead? :D

The CBO stands by their estimate of the bill's impact on the federal deficit, even in their letter.

"The statements in CBO's December 19th letter about the federal budgetary commitment to health care remain correct," said spokesman Jim Manley. "After 2019, the effects of the proposal that would tend to decrease that commitment would grow faster than those that would increase it.

"As a result, the CBO expects that the proposal would generate a reduction in the federal budgetary commitment to health care during the decade following the 10-year budget window."

Nice try, but pretty lame...

So because the GOP doesnt have a plan they can't have an opinion on the current POS? Jesus if that is the standard the Dems better not ever talk about anything seeing as they never have any idea what they are doing ;)

Basically the Right whines and the Left says they have no right to whine because they have nothing better. Sweet, congrats now it doesnt matter if an idea sucks if you dont have a better idea we will just go with the bad idea and hope for the best. I know who not to call if there is a bomb in my house :p

Re: Health Care Reform - 1/6 of the Economy Up for Grabs

But I thought Rover told us how awesome Mass Universal HC was and how it was justification for Reform...hmmmm ;)

BTW when my insurance refused to pay for my physical I decided to drop my insurance. (I am paying the bill obviously) I don't get sick enough to justify the expense I got it so I could do routine maintenance stuff that I didn't want to have to pay out of pocket. since apparently I have to pay out of pocket even with the insurance it seems rather wasteful to keep it :p

Rover must be delusional. It is the biggest CF ever. Not enough primary care providers, premiums that are affordable mean deductables that are so high no one gets care because they can't afford it, etc.

Amen!

My son has insurance from work but can't find a primary care physician (yet).

Les, a bit of advice on a subject I know a bit more than you about! No, I don't mean healthcare, I mean Handy's insanity. Handy is a heavily medicated individual who lashes out at people on the message board, but then hides behind an ignore feature which is as lame as you can get out here. So, therefore, if he says something like "Rover thinks Mass healthcare is the best thing since the dawn of time" I wouldn't take him at his word. Its almost like if I posted that les said she double bills the patients and pockets the money, and that's why health care costs are up. ;)

Looks like Max Baucus had a few too many prior to this rant. What great leaders we elect to Congress.

And until we start voting the SOB's out of office - every single last one of them, BTW, we wil continue down the road to perdition.

This primary and general election cycle make the Congress unemployed - we'll be the better for it.
