Re: He says he's not dead.

TCM host Robert Osborne has been popping up, telling viewers he'll end his "vacation" on December 1. If he sticks to that schedule he'll have been gone about 5 months. His looks a bit gaunt and his hair seems thinner. Let's hope whatever the problem is has been licked.

Bringing it over from the thread I started because someone didn't stick with the original title of the threads and I got confused (I admit that is easy to do)...

Tom Keith, A Prairie Home Companion's sound effects man, and "Jim Ed Poole" from MPR's The Morning Show.

A little refresher never hurts:

It never grows old...

Bob Forsch, 61. MLB pitcher with no-hitters in '78 and '83.

Last week he threw out the first pitch before Game 7.

Andy Rooney, 92

I always regarded him as just a whimsical (and entertaining) old man until I saw the interviews he did about his WWII experiences. I don't recall the series but he did an interview where he talked about being an objector to the war until the unit he was with liberated a concentration camp and how it changed his views. It was interesting to see this perspective after watching his satire on 60 Minutes for many years.

RIP Andy :(

I've always felt like Joe was unlucky, he was in his prime when Ali was in his. In a slightly different era, Joe would have been recognized as one of the all time greats. That left hook of his was devastating. Just ask Ali, it put him on his a*s in Madison Square Garden. On the other hand, with the two of them around at the same time, we got three classic fights out of the deal. I hope God watches over Joe.

RIP Andy Rooney
