Give it rest for once, Brent. No one needs to be reminded we can't prevent everything. That sentiment -- whether you mean it to or not -- makes it harder for people to come together and do SOMETHING. That sentiment feeds the paralysis that has us doing nothing. So just give it a rest. Instead of reminding us there will always be that one time, how about you finally admit that it is our very culture that needs changing. Oh wait, that might take a lot of work, and since it won't prevent everything...

And you realize I've suggested MULTIPLE reforms to the gun laws, right? We also don't need to try and believe that with certain gun laws everything will be hunky-dory, and no mass killings will happen. It works both ways.

When it comes to guns and massacres, someone will suggest a law and you're depressingly quick to say, "We can't do that, it will take forcible military action."

Warren is right, I'm tired of people who we can't do something because it goes "too far, too soon" and will lead to Civil War II or whatever.

We can, and should, do something. But the "nuclear option" (for lack of a better phase) is not realistic. it doesn't have to be all or nothing. We can red flag people, we can shut the door on gun show sales/person to person sales, etc.

And ya know what, I dont care if it takes military action and I dont care if Billy Bob goes bat[bleep] crazy when it happens. Time to Darwin them out so they dont kill innocent people just trying to buy some groceries because they are dickless weasels who women hate and the football team used to make fun of. Life sucks, get a bleeping helmet. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. If you need a bigger dick that badly, save up for surgery or get a sports car like everyone else.

And if the White Trash dont like it...they can take their own advice and get the bleep out. Go find an island where you can hunt each other since you cant get laid.

I totally need this to hunt because I have sh*tty marksmanship and need a minimum of 6 bullets to put a deer down.

Btw, not to brag, but I once put an elk down though a thicket of trees, with one .270 bolt-action bullet. Anyone who tells you they "need" a semi-automatic to hunt, is lying or is compensating for their small pen1s.

And much of that culture starts with the 2nd Amendment, and people think it's their right to own mass killing weapons. If they THINK it's ok to even have them, then they also think using violence to get their point across is also ok.

We don't need an amateur militia anymore- haven't for well over 200 years, so the whole reason for the 2nd is pointless, and we now have people out there who think it's their job to "protect" "something" when it's very far from it.

Stop giving people excuses, and lets get on with the changes.

BTW, I can't find drew's note about the idea of having bloodshed when guns are restricted- as if the current bloodshed is ok.....

Do you really think I'm jumping to conclusions? Wow. No wonder we are where we are.

We are a violent society because we can be. Guns are part of our culture, and shooting people to solve a stupid problem has been around since our country has been founded.

Now we have people defending the idea that we should keep guns that can shoot fast and put many rounds out at once- and ALL they are intended to do is kill people. The gains are worthless hunting, and worthless for target shooting. All they do is put out the most harm the fastest possible way. So by defending the idea to keep them is just defending the ability to shoot a lot of people, quickly. That's it.

Otherwise, explain to me in words that even dumpy could understand why that's an incorrect conclusion.
