I got that one, I didn't think that was what they were talking about though, since it wasn't actually from a friend on facebook. Is it the "so and so is chatting with Facebook friends using AIM, try it now" e-mail?
This. Trains have the right-of-way over semis, which have right-of-way over buses, which have right-of-way over cars and trucks. And all of them have the right-of-way over bike-riding asholes.![]()
Trains weigh many tons. Cars.......a bit less. It's the Big Car-Little Car rule.
I think everyone who gets in an accident with a vehicle significantly (2x at least) larger than them should have to take and pass remedial Newtonian physics to regain their license. THAT would cut waaay down on traffic accidents.![]()
Cut off their arms then. Then they shouldn't be able to get out of their driveway. No, because you'd have idiots who will still continue to drive, without a license.![]()

I hate it when people think they can just fly down the shoulder to get to their exit. When I see someone doing it before the exit I'm exiting on, I slide over so I'm half in my lane and half in the shoulder. If people are being dooshes while driving, I try my best to stop them, and usually **** them off. Joys of having a big truck that most other drivers won't mess with.On 694 East the traffic was stopped of course. I was caught in the left lane, and decided I wanted to exit onto Lexington. I put on my blinker, and move over when someone in the right lane is nice enough to let me over. Not only are they nice enough, they were smart enough to realize that it wasn't going to slow them down any to let me over, traffic was stop and go. I then check my blind spot again and start to move to the right to take the exit, which I was right at the bottom of. I didn't cross any fog lines whatsoever making this manuever, I didn't wait too long and go last second.
Well, the side of my car was nearly demolished by an idiot in a black Silverado who had evidently just decided to fly down the shoulder at 50mph to get to the exit. I had nowhere to go, my front bumper was already beyond the rear bumper of the car that was in front of me. Luckily his truck has good brakes, and my car can get up and go if I really need it to.

BTW, I'm not someone who will block people in the fast lane, if someone is going faster than me, I get out of their way and move over. Its the going around the line of traffic because someone thinks they're too good to wait their turn like the rest of us have to that ****es me off.

I find the older I get the more defensive of a driver I become. I'm so aware and seen so many stupid things on the road I'm always assuming the worst in every situation.
I only tailgate people that do stupid stuff on the road, like we've already talked about. They also get the high beams. Some might think I have a road rage problem, but I only do that kind of stuff to people who are *******s on the road.Absolutely. I also found that becoming a long (> 1hr each way) commuter made me a much better and more defensive driver. Invariably the worst drivers are those without real jobs (young males in muscle cars, parasite moms in SUVs).
The problem with these a-holes is the very characteristics that makes them horrible drivers (irresponsibility, stupidity, self-absorption) also make them horrible people, and not worth the trouble (or risk) of giving a visual beat down.
So, everybody out there who tailgates: consider yourselves flipped off.
