Re: Grinding Away..Things that grind your gears, part three

They both did the story (it is the cover story for SI) and I am sorry but I dont think it is a hatchet job at all. The amount of those players that committed violent crime is ridiculous.

I believe on PTI they said the average student population % was around 3.5% but I may have misheard the exchange was tough to decipher.

Just as ridiculous is the number of schools that 1) don't look into it, or 2) seem to help the charges. Generally, robbery- both for money and drugs- with a gun- pellet or real- can be bargained down from a felony pretty easy.

You could have some real fun with this- have a fake set of notes and when he is completely off point...

This reminds me of a joke a couple of us were going to do with our lab reports back in college. We were going to see who could use the word "bukkake" most in a report without getting flagged.

I suggest using this method of screwing with him.

I'm Twitch Boy and I approve of this method.

I work with this guy who will, if someone is speaking during a meeting and he's sitting next to them, lean over and read their notes instead of listening, and then ask questions while reading the notes (instead of asking questions based on what the person is saying). Then his questions are usually something the speaker is going to answer, if he'd shut up and wait a minute. This. Drives. Me. Nuts. Don't lean over and read my notebook while I am talking!!!!!!

One thing I find very irritating yet highly entertaining in meetings is watching a presentation run by a technologically challenged person as they try to sort or filter a spreadsheet or find a screen in Oracle or navigate around the network to find a file and have no clue what they're doing.

While it makes me fidgety it also makes me feel better about myself and more secure about my job. :)

congestion and colds.

but instead of ginding my gears, it feels like my face is being ground.....

Eye injuries. I took a soccer ball to the face on Tuesday which left me temporarily unable to see out of my left eye. I'm better now but that wasn't fun.

Patients that come for a visit, have multiple complaints, do NOTHING they are told, are ****ed there symptoms don't go away and then think they can argue/negotioate their diagnosis away. Really???!!! I am not the one who gave you the disease/problem. I may be good but I cannot make it disappear.

Finding my Sunday morning paper on the front walk instead of the paper box or the porch. Suppose that's a little better than Friday, when I came home to find the paper on the front yard.

Re: Grinding Away..Things that grind your gears, part three

Grinding my gears right now is a woman who changes lanes in front of me less than 100 feet before an intersection, then attempts to make a right turn in front me as I go right to avoid her. I hit her, wait for the police officer, she comes and talks to the other driver, talks to me very quickly, talks to the passengers in her car, looks at the photos they had taken, gets our info, does her paperwork, and then I get faulted and a ticket for, I'm not kidding, "Attempting to pass on the right."

I love dumb cops. All I told was her "See you in court."

Re: Grinding Away..Things that grind your gears, part three

Well, here's what grinds my gears:

- Tom Brady
- ponytails on guys
- mentioning Randy Moss
- mentioning Justin Bieber
- someone else "gettin' busy" with Gisele Bundchen
- subliminal advertising

They are all in here ...

Where's the subliminal advertising in that you may ask?

Brady, while looking lustfully at Bundchen, is wearing a shirt that says "Oral-B". Subliminal advertising. Or would that be sublingual ... ;)

Baker College grinds my gears. Went to the academic office earlier this week so I could change my major and get set up for classes next quarter, and they told me who the adviser for culinary arts was and that I'd have to make an appointment with him. Fine, I email him to set up an appointment, and he replies saying his office hours are on Thursday. I get another message from him today saying I'm a "re-entry student" and that I must go through counseling at the academic office before I meet with him.

So, their bureaucracy is like most bureaucracies?

Tried to order "The Stoned Age" (basically a B-movie "Dazed And Confused") off of Amazon. After it shipped, realized that I accidentally ordered "NATIONAL LAMPOON'S The Stoned Age" which is something you couldn't pay me to watch. Hope returning it is as easy as they say it is. Grrrrrr.

I've had to return something on amazon before, it was very straightforward and hassle free.

Sweet. It was shipped alone, I think, so in theory I should be able to print out the label and just ship it back, without repackaging it.

Was this a filmstrip or was it on Betamax?
